Information technology provides many benefits to health industry. By giving accurate information more readily available to providers, payers, researchers, administrators, and patients, advanced computing and communications technology helps to improve the quality and lower the costs of health care. On the other hand, the prospect of storing health information in electronic form raises concerns about patient privacy and data security, even though the information technology allows the use of advanced technical mechanisms to limit access to health information, it also can cause new vulnerabilities. Information technology facilitates both the storage of large amounts of electronic information in a small physical space and the dissemination of this information. It also enables the creation and analysis of large databases that contain information from various sources.


A knowledge is defined as a valuable intangible resource that need to be managed properly in order for an organization to gain advantage over their competitors, Birkinshaw and Sheehan (2002); Zyngier (2006). Knowledge transfer emphasized as “the movement of knowledge within the organization, it is a distinct experience not a gradual process of dissemination, and depends on the characteristics of everyone involve”, Szulanski (1996).
