The commission has an extensive library of resources that they can use in order to come to a decision on important trade issues. Every product that passes through our borders has to be checked and allowed to come inside of them. This agency has to deal with all of those products and make sure that they are safe enough and that they are legal under our laws to be sold and used in this country. Many other countries do not have this organization and they allow basically anything to pass over their borders without their knowledge. This in turn makes our country much safer than many other countries because we check each item that enters and that we don’t just allow anything to enter this country. The organization also checks to make sure that the companies receiving these imports aren’t receiving anything illegal. They make sure that it is fair all across the board. They have one of the largest responsibilities in this whole country. Imagine if you had to make a decision of what can and can’t enter our country. It is a huge decision made by very important experienced people and they are doing what is in our best interest. Every day the items that arrive into our country we can be assured that they are safe for our use and for everyone to use them and that they have been checked in some way. This commission is very important to this country not only for our safety but for our

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (U.S. CBP) is one of the oldest law enforcement entities in the U.S., and has a rich history of protecting our borders. A historical overview and understanding of the U.S. Customs origins displays how over the centuries the strategic mission of the CBP has evolved to combat threats of specific time eras. U.S. Customs has grown from collecting of revenue during the 1800s to fighting the War on Drugs, and well into the 21st century where combating terrorism would be yet another mission undertaken by CBP. Without a doubt, the U.S. Customs Service has played an active role in the protection of the nation’s borders against terrorism, criminal drug lords, and even the violation of intellectual property theft.
Government policy can be described as the declaration that defines the objective of the priorities and goals of the government. Since these policies outline the rules, role, and procedures, they develop a framework in which the government and its citizens can carry out their specific duties. The public policies are created by all governmental levels and target the entire population or particular groups. The process of developing these policies involves the engagement of governmental officials and citizens. On the other hand, politics of government provide the platform for the development, establishment, and implementation of public policy. Therefore, the politics of government are the platform with which public policies are adopted and implemented.
