Everyone of us has wondered if we were going to go to a four year college at some point of our life right? But is it worth going to, is the question we should be wondering.Some students may wonder if a four year college is worth spending four years of their life on. On the other hand, some students may have their minds set that a four year college isn’t worth spending their time on.However, a four year college education is worth spending four years for, to help students with their future careers.

During middle school, I was focused on which one of my friend’s house I was hanging out at after school and when my next soccer game was. The idea of attending a four-year college had not entered my thoughts, attending any sort of schooling after high school was not something I considered. As a middle school student, if someone would have told me that I would graduate high school and go on to attend Princeton University—I would have asked what the next joke would be. By teaching at breakthrough, I hope to give back to a community I grew up in, while simultaneously developing interpersonal skills. My upbringing mirrors the lives of the students at breakthrough.
One of the good reasons of attending 4 year University is having a greater future. By leaving her family and attending Mountainfield University, she will become independent; will feel more responsible for her actions. She will learn how to manage her time of studying, sleeping, and eating. She will pay more attention to her education because the only reason that she is away from family and friends is getting the better education. She will meet new people, new culture, and might experience new languages as well.

Society via high school teachers, general news, and information on the internet tells us that the lack of education presents a struggle, because without education employers are not hiring applicants without a degree. A four-year degree should not be the sole determinant for acceptance into the workforce. Besides a four-year degree, there are other options people can choose to be accepted into the workforce, like a two-year degree, obtaining a trade or skill, or on the job training.
