Let me tell you about a marvelous state called Nevada. Nevada is located in the southwestern side of the United States. Nevada is known as the “Silver State,” which is the official nickname, even though it says “Battleborn” on their flag. Since most of the U.S gold came from Nevada, you’d think that it would be called the Golden State, but nope, that title goes to California, for reasons I do not know. Furthermore, Nevada has a tremendous amount of history, fascinating geographical features, glorious climate, indispensable agriculture as well as industry, and captivating natural resources. All of these features are what makes Nevada, Nevada! You will see that Nevada is a phenomenal state to learn about.
Colorado is a beautiful and historical state; the wide open plains, the glorious tall mountains, the history of its people that have shaped Colorado into what it is today. In 1859, the answer for many people was yes. Word of gold found throughout Colorado spread across the country and launched the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush or today known as the Colorado Gold Rush. There are several significant events in Colorado history that have had a huge impact on the state we know today. The Colorado Gold Rush, in 1859, was the most significant event in Colorado History for several reasons; the rush attracted thousands of people to our state, initiated the mining of other resources, succored farming and ranching throughout the state and helped to boost the economy of the towns here in Colorado. Colorado has a very rich history that often gets overlooked due to other big states that generally take up most of the headlines; however, that does not mean that there has not been big movements and big names to come through the Centennial State. Colorado has had many attractions, such as open land, beautiful landscapes, mining, and the hot springs to name a few. Doc Holliday had a short, but eventful life and making his way towards Colorado at the end was what he had hope would save his life.
The geography of Indiana includes land regions, location, and different features. Indiana has three different and distinct land regions. The first region is The Great Lake Plains. The Great Lake Plains has very rich soil, which is good for farming corn and crops. Indiana also needs the rich soil for gardening plants and flowers. The Till Plains also has very rich soil starting from Kansas and Nebraska.
