Snowboarding is no exception. ‘When snowboarders fall, they tend to fall on their hands, knees, shoulders or heads’, Fara Rosenzweig wrote in her article when she was telling about snowboarding injuries and how snowboarders can prevent them. Knee and ACL injuries are also a common danger athletes face. A snowboarder could easily twist their knees and ankles if they land wrong or just twist their foot in their board. These athletes also have to be wary of pulling muscles. Many snowboarders are very prepared when heading out to the pipes. They are especially careful of fatigue, going too far over their limit, wearing the wrong equipment (or not wearing enough), and dehydration. Snowboarders should always have a bottle of water with

Snowboarding is a sport where you can just let yourself go and be with nature up on the snow-topped mountains. Waking up and looking outside, the snow is several inches deep covering the grass, the street, and the snow-banks are knee high. These are the perfect conditions, for one thing, snowboarding. A snowboarder knows the prime conditions to ride and will do anything to make sure they are on the mountain ready to go when those conditions arise. In preparation for snowboarding, you’ll need to consider the temperature, where you will be riding, and what type of gear is needed for the conditions.

There are many sports people do in this world. I like plenty of them basketball, football, soccer, baseball the list goes on and on. Ever since I was a kid I loved sports and trying new ones. Let's start with one example, Tricks. There are so many more tricks you can do on a snowboard than on skis. Backflips, 360s, There is so many more. Next example is that it's way easier to turn in the air. When you only have one thing to move instead of two. Because when you're in the middle of a huge jump and you want to that 720 it's going to be easier than skis because with one board you can move easier. One of the coolest things done was Ulrik Badertscher doing a double backside rodeo 1260 mute. It was crazy! There are some pretty cool skiing tricks but never ones cooler than that one.
I believe that every person should try snow skiing at least once. Snow skiing is a great activity with so many benefits, plus its really really fun! People of all ages can try it with the youngest person recorded being one year old. For me, skiing is the best sport out there and when I’m skiing it feels like I’m on another planet because everything is white from being covered with snow. Some days there is so much snow you can't even see in front of you. Those are the best days. It's such a great experience and I'll give you the motivators that keep me looking at the mountain peaks in July.

It was pleasant enough to be able to stand comfortably outside in a light jacket or sweatshirt. A perfect day to glide down a powdery mountain along with my best friend. The anticipation was building as I sat in the back of Mrs. Smith’s eighth grade classroom. In a matter of minutes I would be packing my gear into the car and traveling toward impending doom: Sundown Mountain, twenty one runs of exhilaration and danger. At that point in time I didn’t know whether to be excited or nervous. Snowboarding was completely new to me, not too much different than skiing except for the fact that my balance would be shifted differently. I struggled enough as it was keeping my balance on skis. How could I possibly be able to successfully maintain my balance on a board?
The physics of skiing and snowboarding are very similar. They both rely on a downwards pull from gravity. This pull is what turns the potential energy into kinetic energy. As a smooth surface (or two) pass over the snow a small amount of energy is lost to friction. The bottom of the skis or board zoom across the surface of the snow creating heat. The heat along with the weight bearing down on the snow melt some of the snow creating a film of water on the bottom of the surface. Some energy is also lost by through wind resistance of the riders silhouette.
I am now a professional snowboarder that is with my friends at Mammoth Mountain, the local resort, preparing for the X- Games slopestyle competition that is a few days away.
