Breast cancer runs in our family really bad, and hopefully it skips over you. Having breast cancer is something I hope you don’t have to go through because I would not like to see you in pain or having to go to therapy. I will break it all down for you sweet baby so you can understand fully. The main basics of having breast cancer does not sound as bad as it really is. It has not been scientifically proven what causes breast cancer but if you feel lumps in your breast that move easily you need to let me know so we can go see a doctor. Breast cancer can’t spread from one person to another but it can be in your genes since it is common in our family. Breast cancer can only spread from your breast to your lymph nodes. Breast cancer does not come
Since breast cancer is more common in older women, it is encouraged to have a routine check-up starting at age 40, however if it runs in your family it can be promoted at as young of an age as 25.
III. Scientists may not know right now why cancer affects certain people but they do know that it has nothing to do with age or gender.
b. Our cells are programed to know when to grow, divide, and when to die, with that said just like any other machine, if these “parts” within our DNA do not work then that is when our machine goes off track and starts breaking down.
Welcome to this very special edition of American Lifestyle magazine! This issue recognizes that the effects of breast cancer are all around us and offers content geared toward supporting breast cancer awareness and the people impacted by the disease.
What is Cancer? Cancer is many diseases which involve abnormal cell growth. Cancer cells are able to replicate and spread because they completely lose control and are not able to be restrained. These cells will then form to become tumors. There are two types of tumors called malignant and benign. The malignant tumor is the cancerous tumor. The benign tumors are much less destructive to the body. To tell the difference is quite simple, a malignant tumor has the ability to spread through metastasis causing the cancer to attack multiple areas, whereas the benign tumors cannot spread and are in most cases nonthreatening. Although there are numerous types of cancer, such as breast cancer, lung cancer, and kidney cancer, I chose to write about brain
According to American Cancer Society, in our bodies most people are born with two bean shaped organs, found attached to the back wall of the abdomen, these are called kidneys. As you grow in life your kidneys have multiple jobs, but the biggest job is that they act as a filter in your body. They will take in the blood and filter any substance not needed, such as excess water, salt, and other waste. Once the process of filtering anything bad begins, your kidneys will kick out what we know as urine. American Cancer Society says the kidneys will also “help keep your blood pressure controlled”, by making a hormone called, renin. Need more red blood cells? Don’t worry, your kidneys will make another hormone, known as erythropoietin, sending a message
Attention Getter: What do Sheryl Crow, Judy Blume, Suzanne Somers, Wanda Sykes and my Mother have in common? They are all breast cancer survivors.
Everyone around the world knows how bad cancer is. we all know the different types of cancer there is and trust me there is a lot. Yet, not all cancer are deadly and incurable there are many with treatments found by scientist, or simple medicines to help you get rid of this and be as healthy as can be. Well today i decide to talk about the cancer melanoma skin cancer, which people think you can get by writing on your self or even from tattoos, but is it true what are the real reasons your can get it and how do you know if you have melanoma.
Cancers are a large family of disease that involve abnormal cell growth which can then spread to other parts of the body. This year about 564,800 Americans are expected to die of cancer, more than 1,500 people a day. Cancer may be identified with many kind of symptoms depending on where in the body is the cancer located, how big is the cancerous tumor and how much is affects the surrounding organs and tissues.
I will be taking this time to educate you a little more on breast cancer. To tell you what exactly it is and to hopefully help you understand what it is and what people who have this go through. I have chosen to talk about breast cancer because I have known people who have gone through this.
I believe there is hope even through the worst type of situations. Most people don’t know it or feel it, but hope is hiding somewhere near you begging to come out. In many situations, people cannot find their hope, but I assure you it’s there. Quite a while ago my grandma, my dad’s mom, was told something that no family wants to hear.
One of the many of the world's problems is sickness, but some diseases have no cure which can result in death. Cancer is a code we just can’t seem to crack and it has taken hundreds of thousands of lives. Everyone knows of someone who has died of or had cancer in their life. It’s a hard sickness to beat but many strong people do beat it, some being children. I have personally seen my family members go through this and of course, some didn’t make it out alive. If you have seen anyone who has cancer, you’ll see how it can take over your body, how that person doesn’t even look like themselves anymore.
Today in the world there are many different types of reproductive cancers. A reproductive cancer I’m going to be writing about is Breast cancer. Yes, its Breast Cancer. According to American Cancer Society (2017) Breast cancer is “Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. These cells usually form a tumor that can often be seen on an x-ray or felt as a lump. The tumor is malignant (cancer) if the cells can grow into (invade)surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body. Breast cancer occurs almost entirely in women, but men can get cancer too (pg.1). Although Breast cancer first start in the breast, it can also start from other places surrounding that tissue or area.
We all know the word, a word with the power to kill thousands, and to leave thousands more in states of heartbreak and emotional turmoil each year. A disease which can attack anyone, and not even the marvels of modern science can completely can offer protection. Everybody has a risk of being afflicted, everyone has a risk of feeling the effects, and even if it isn’t attacking you, chances are you are still going feel the pain of knowing someone being consumed by it. In our modern world, many grow too accustomed to the conveniences, we take shortcuts, and many of us increase our chances every day, without even knowing it. The word is cancer, and it is such a prevailing problem in today’s society. Something inside our own bodies that has managed to baffle the smartest species on the earth, something that has managed to grow beyond the control of a controlling population, something that has, in a way, united the whole of humanity as a species, a feat never accomplished in our long history.
It’s October of your fifth grade year, at the end of the day. You’ve gotten back into the swing of things, your teacher is awesome, and you’re at the top of the elementary school food chain. You’re about to walk outside. The weather is beautiful; the trees are still mostly green with a few ambitious leaves already changing color. The sky is blue and the sun is shining in the way it only does during fall. You’re going to remember how it felt to walk across the parking lot on that day for a long time. You’re happy, like you normally are when you leave school, and you get in the car. That’s when Mom tells you your little brother has cancer.
