The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS, is a Sunni militant group, and also the most barbaric and violent terrorist group ever to exist. ISIS is also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL). This group has quickly advanced and seized its territory in Iraq and Syria. They can be found in many nations such as Syria, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, and Algeria. They are ruthless and savage-like; beheading, cutting off hands, and murdering many, many people as if it was their daily ritual.

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, commonly known as ISIS, has frightened the whole world by committing attacks in the Middle East, Paris, and San Bernardino, California. ISIS claims to be the legitimate ruler of all Muslims and it operates the Muslim world. ISIS was able to expand as the result of local groups conflicts with Western interests. Daniel Byman declares that local groups are attracted to ISIS for genuine conviction. Particularly, young men believe that ISIS is the defender and avenger of Sunnis worldwide. On the other hand, some groups join ISIS for accessibility to financial and technical aid. While , ISIS grows beyond Iraq and Syria, religious intolerance is created. Isis is a terrorist organization made up of Shi’ite Muslims yearning to create an independent Islamic state in the Middle East. These terrorists go to any extent of violence in hopes of connecting the holy lands throughout Middle Eastern countries. They have mastered the art of videography and become very tech savvy on the internet and through social media. Their recruitment videos can be very subtle; many internet sites don’t realize they are promoting ISIL at first sight. The video’s that promote ISIL brutality are removed from numerous websites but manage to find their ways onto other sites. MISO has reached out through social media to encourage society not to watch ISIL videos or ads. "Every time a still or clip from an ISIS video is shown, the group gets what it wants: the oxygen of publicity," "Of course, it is necessary that people the world over are aware of the atrocities occurring at the hands of ISIS, but journalists must be careful not to do the jihadists' job for them."
This ruthless terror organization has recruiting strategies that are alarmingly effective. According to a spokesperson for the Islamic Army, “ISIS recruits approximately 20 new members a day, and most of the foreign fighters are between 15-20 years old” (Lu). ISIS tries to recruit younger people because they are more susceptible to being influenced by their terrorist ways. USA Today estimates ISIS has between 20,000 and 25,000 fighters (Tomlinson). There is no doubt that ISIS employs experienced media and marketing people, who have helped to spread and control their message. They create recruitment videos to show future members all the positives they will receive when they join. On top of these recruitment videos, they promise the reward of “playing an important role in something larger than yourself,” along with addressing any concern a potential recruit might have (Lu). Their media team also produces an “online English-language magazine called Dabiq that publishes propagandist articles and reports aimed to glorify the Islamic State” (Lu). ISIS also uses social media, such as Twitter and Instagram, to spread its message to potential followers. This makes it more difficult for the government to prevent ISIS from spreading their word because so many people use these social media
The Vietnam War was one of the most comprehensive and horrible wars after the Second World War. Hundreds of thousands US soldiers were sent to help fight the communists in Vietnam. The US was driven by Cold War concerns about the spread of communism, particularly by the “domino theory” - the idea that if one Asian nation fell to the leftist ideology, others would quickly follow. On 1st of June, 1956 John F. Kennedy, at that time a young senator, gave a speech on America’s political interest in Vietnam. In that speech John F. Kennedy tried to persuade the American people to accept and support America’s intervention in Vietnam.

ISIS has been using children of the ages 12 through 16 to carry out their horrific terrorist attack. They have used children for 39% of their car bombs and children for 33% of foot soldiers to kill civilians. In the past year these numbers have doubled (Malik, 2016). There is an estimated 31,000 women who are pregnant living under the rule of ISIS. These children’s lives are then dedicated to becoming ISIS soldiers. They start in training camps as young as eight and begin learning weapon and combat tactics, as well as the teachings in the Koran. Some analysis has stated that ISIS treats children no different than men, and these children are forced to grow up quickly. Children learn how to perform executions and will help carry out the execution or perform the execution as a prize. They will use children to travel into busy civilian areas with bombs strapped to their chest. To convince these children of this, ISIS tells them that they will receive blessings and die a martyr if they kill themselves. This is the tactic they use to gain thousands of followers and willing martyrs. (Jansen,
