b. Credibility Statement: I have always loved tennis and I played all throughout high school. I also did a tremendous amount of research on this topic.
c. Need Statement: Many of us are going into the PT/OT career field and if we have a better understanding of tennis, maybe it can help us when dealing with patient’s injuries.

c. The tennis season for the professionals lasts over the course of several months, from January to September. During these months, rigorous training and workouts take place to help them prepare for various tournaments- especially the “Grand Slam” tournaments, which are the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. In high school tennis season usually lasts from August-October.
Transition: Now that you have some sort of an idea as to what tennis is and how it’s played, I’d like to share with you some history of the sport.
III. Main Point 2: Tennis has been played all over the world for centuries, getting more popular as time goes along. It has evolved in many different ways, and continues to do so.

Many researchers have evidence of that tennis was played among the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans just in different formats. http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/where-did-tennis-originate.html suggests that “the most credible accounts on the origins of tennis dates back to 11th or 12th centuries. In that time French monks played handball on improvised court yards, and the game was known in French as "jeu de paume" or game of the hand.”
b. Balls back then were not like the tennis balls we know today. The balls were made of wood and the players would hit the ball into the wall with their bare hands until eventually it got so painful that they eventually incorporated leather gloves to take some of the pain away.
