Innovative Inventions During The 19th-20th Century

The creation of innovative inventions was rampant during the 19th - 20th century, throughout and after the Industrial Revolution. These new creations completely altered daily life at the time and made a huge impact on our work and home life, how we entertain ourselves, and what form of transportation we use to move around. Some technological inventions that impacted our forms of transportation were the helicopter, jet, and 3-pointed seatbelts. Helicopters and jets impacted the way people (usually rich) traveled. These forms of transportation were faster than airplanes and more efficient. They were also smaller and were important during combat, especially when sky raids were conducted and speed, as well as, reliability was of top priority in order to get the job done. They all helped people get work done quicker and more conveniently than by traditional methods. Microwaves allowed women to take less time in the kitchen by heating up food in a flash unlike cooking or grilling, and producing similar effects. Printers and computers were great for work life since they allowed people to organize important documents, send and fax letters, make and print posters, and do so much more with the click of a mouse or the press of a button. Typing and printing was much swifter and easier than writing things down by hand. Video tape recorders also proved to be beneficial, especially in journalism fields. Used as a form of work and entertainment, people could capture important events and memories, exactly as they happened through the footage. This invention was also used as surveillance and made catching criminals and perpetrators easier and more legitimate, similar to how people use videos today as proof of crimes
