A person that not only have I encountered, but who has been with me for the last twenty years and has had a great effect on my life is my father. No matter what, my father has always been there for me. Before I was born my dad broke his back at work and was out of a job for fifteen years. I felt awful that he had gotten hurt, but I am also happy because fourteen out of those fifreen years he was out of work he was always around to take care of me. My dad is always doing whatever he can to make my family and I happy and as a teenager I took most of it for granted. hwever, the last couple of years I think I have grown up a lot and now I am a lot like my father because now I want to do anything to make him happy, also I realized if it was not …show more content…
The rest of the summer I spent more time with my dad then I did in the past four years. We played baseball, went crabbing, helped him cook, watched the yankees, and everything else we did when I was younger and even though some things were boring to me then I still enjoyed them because I was with my dad and it made him happy.
One month later I was in college, everything was good at home, and most importantly I got my most influential best friend back, my dad. I wouldn't be half the person I am today if it wasn't for him and my motivation to do good in school now, is not to become Derek Jeter and make myself happy it is to make my father happy becasue he deserves it. He is the best father a son could ask
It caused me to suppress the anger and hatred that I had because of the absence of a father figure. It also allowed me to develop thick skin and perseverance when things became tough. As I continue to move forward, I take the experiences that have shaped who I am along with me. The next chapter in my life will be dental school where I can make an impact on my peers, the staff and the school as a whole. I hope that my ability to strive for greatness despite many odds will be something that I can spread among my peers as I continue on my path to becoming a
My relationship with my father had shaped all my experiences with my friends, family, school and even careers.
There are two people that have significantly impacted my life, my parents. From the warmth of a hug to the sternness of a talk they have always been there. The softness of there hands or not so soft hands when I needed a hand to either get off the ground, or to cross the streets. The care in there eyes when I needed a band-aid, or when I was sick, or sad. The goodnight kiss and hug they give me before going to bed. The protection I felt when I was scared or when there was conflict. The taste of a good home cooked meal. Most of all the smell of my mom and dads perfume and cologne, why does it still smell so good!
The things I did over the summer was fun and exciting. Memorial Day weekend we went camping with Mark and Erin, my parent's friends, and their two boys, Brock and Dylan. It was a blast. We went hiking, fishing, and played baseball and mini golf .The things I did in June where play outside, ride bikes, and walked to the gas station. I got a new tablet it is called the amazon fire seven. My brother’s friend Hayden got a car,and we went out to eat for almost every meal. I use to have two ducks, but one of them died. We went to the beach to go swimming. I had so much fun in the month of June
It was the end of the school year, and I was super excited to go home, jump on the couch and have the snuggly feeling I had last summer. When my dad came home he called me up to his room,
A third person that has greatly affected my life is my mom. My mom was born in America, but she lived in Mexico until her 7th grade year. She is the middle child of three sisters and another three brothers. She is a teacher and has been for over 15 years. She has taught every elementary grade level at least once, and was my teacher for 5th grade. My mom is very determined, she doesn't let anyone make her do things she doesn’t want to do. My mom has taught me many things, one of which is that if you focus on your goals you can often reach
Who in your life has caused you to become a better person? For some people it's a parent who has shaped you since the day that you were born. For others it's the stranger who always says hi to you when you see them on the street. Maybe it’s the couple down the block who struggles to make ends meet, but always has a positive attitude. It may even be the person who has hurt you the most. These people make us a better person even when we least expect it. I never realized the effect my grandmother had on my life until she stopped recognizing me.
This summer was an alright summer besides my sister getting lost and two people drowning. On the bright side, I got to go on many rides and water parks and spend time with my cousins. In all of this, I learned to keep your loved ones near because one day they might disappear. Hopefully the next summers to come will be better than this
We all have someone that we attached to at a young age. Whether it be a relative, family friend or role model. My person was my grandfather. He was one of the most kind hearted people you could ever meet; he was also one of the funniest. I can be having a terrible day and think about something he said or did and I can’t help but smile to myself. Pawpaw was my mother’s father and my grandmother’s husband. They were the “All-American” family. They lived in suburbia, Granny didn’t have to work and they lived life comfortably. My father wasn’t so fortunate in his youth. He had an extremely dysfunctional family and childhood. No one ever saw my mom and dads marriage working out but somehow they defied the odds and are still happily
The most interesting thing I did over the summer was going to ohio to meet with family. The reasoning is because when there we didn’t get to stay inside. When we go to ohio over the summer we have to stay outside and camp and have to stay outside all day and all night. I always have my own tent on the other side of the house away from the pond so that i can actually sleep. The reason for sleeping away from the pond is that there are frogs that make noise all night and can get really annoying.
For most people last summer was just an ordinary summer, but mine was a life changing experience. This summer taught me so much like responsibility, work ethic, and what it is like to accomplish
My father is someone who has experienced things many people these days have not. When he was growing up his step father Wes was very hard on him and his sibling. He would make them work for everything and was abusive. Finally, my Grandmother left him and took the kids with her, my dad and his three sisters. They traveled all over the country starting in California and just moving around. He was bullied at most of the schools he attended but always stood his ground. He eventually moved to Dubuque and went to Hempstead high school where he met my mom and stayed here for the rest of his life.
When asked who was the most influential person in my life without any hesitation I knew it was my father. My father has impacted my life greatly and has helped me become the person I am today. He has helped me in many ways; he pushes me to be the best, he is always there for me, and he possesses good qualities that I try to obtain.
In life you have many people who influence you. Some aare good influences and some are bad influences. Although, the one person who influenced my life most would have to be my father. My father sacrificed alot in his lifetime to make his children's lives better. I adore my father he is a strong confident man and loves his family unconditionally. I have become the person I am today because of my father.
I believe that having a relationship that changes your life or changes the way you think or do something is very valuable. Having that kind of relationship with my father is very impactful on my life. All the positive aspects of our relationship comes to my mind. Reflecting on our relationship, many stories are emphasized in our relationship; stories that were impacting and made me who I am to this moment. My dad is a business owner, builder, ex-skater, drum player, video gamer, soccer player, loving husband and father, and a faithful servant to our Lord, Jesus Christ. So being able to relate to my dad is very easy to me, for I share many of those talents and hobbies. As the oldest son in the family I didn't really have anyone to look up to or strive to be like a certain person that was close to my age. That led me to walk in my dad’s footsteps. Watching my dad give glory to God for all that he has given to our family was truly incredible to me. My dad’s work rate, his ability to help others when they need it most, his ability to get tasks done thoroughly was amazing to me. I truly know that he is a wonderful role model for me. Three stories come to mind when I think of my dad. He taught me various things in every one, they are: to listen to God when you struggle, to work hard and finish things well, and to love others even when we dislike their motives or actions.
