Self-Assessment Paper In this paper, I will explore the results of three assessments covering my personality traits, emotional intelligence & interpersonal communication style. After identifying my reasons for choosing the three characteristics, and assessments I chose, I will discuss the implications of the results on my behavior moving forward. The first assessment I will cover is the 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF). I decided to learn new information about my personality because I’ve always noticed myself being a little bit more reserved, introspective, and solitary in comparison to my family and peers. After a social event, family gathering or a simple interaction, I began noticing myself feeling completely depleted of energy resources for additional social engagements. Allowing myself space for quiet and alone time felt more rewarding then being bombarded by the company of others. This created a certain degree of misunderstanding for those who assumed I was a social butterfly, due to the large amount of acquaintances I’ve collected from my time in the military. Communication skills are essential for relationships to thrive, and can make or break successful opportunities if handled incorrectly.
