Strengths I have, emotional intelligence, clear vision, and inspirational. I work in a fast paced stressful environment, knowing your own emotions are very important. I feel like I stay calm and collected when under pressure. People find it easy to talk to me and open up. By being able to pick up others emotional cues I provide a comfort level and gain their trust. It’s important you trust your leader and feel comfortable going to them. “People with higher EI are likely to have a natural advantage while handling interpersonal relationships as they can read body language of others in a more precise manner.” (Dabke, D. 2016). The purpose of this paper is to discuss the use distinctive characteristic of interpersonal communication. In the movie You’ve Got Mail, it tells a story of two bookstore owners who were enemies. But when they anonymously met online, they fell in love with each other. The movie You’ve Got Mail portrays interpersonal relationship. Interpersonal relationships are between two or more people. Through out the paper, there are five different interpersonal relationships, for example, identity, emotions, nonverbal communication, listening and communication.
Other strengths that I exhibit include being structured, responsible, articulate, task-oriented, determined, confident, effective planner, visionary, and possessing the ability to manage resources effectively. Being structured allows me to set parameters that we can all work within to achieve the overall company goals. Structure builds bonds and a sense of cohesiveness in the workplace. This type of unity will be necessary for the success of the organization. We can all work towards common goals if clear goals are outlined for everyone. Personally I believe that I am organised, I always carry round a diary, where I note down important dates and deadlines, and therefore allowing me to manage my time more efficiently. Another strength that I have is that I know how to operate a computer and I know how to use a computer effectively, at GCSE I got a B in my exam in Information and Technology, therefore giving me an advantage compared to someone who do not know how to use the computer. I also believe that I am confident, and that I have courage and the ability to speak to new people and adapt myself to a new environment without feeling uncomfortable. As well as that, I am also able to work in a group, where I can listen to my members in my group as well as voice my own opinion.
In addition to my personal challenges my personal strengths interfer. A personal strength I have is talking , I love sharing my opinion. Another personal strength I have is giving good advice because I love helping people solve their problem or help make their lives easier. Lastly another personal strength I have is just listening because I am a good person to vent to because I don’t judge. Therefore I always spread positivity and lean a hand.

Interpersonal Communication Competence is defined as constantly communicating in a way that is effective, appropriate, and ethical (McCornack, 2016). When a person is communicating competently, they are following social norms, are able to accomplish their goals, and treating persons in an unbiased manner. In my paper I will be discussing my own interpersonal communication competence and the evaluations that I, and my close companions, have made about my ability to communicate proficiently. I will begin my essay by explaining what effective and appropriate communication consists of, and follow up with my argument on how effective and appropriate I am in my interpersonal relationships. As I continue I will examine my empathy and why I am strong in this aspect of communication, followed by my deliberation of my conversation management and why I am weak in this category and how I could possibly improve. As I near the conclusion of my paper I will focus on my interpersonal communication motivation, knowledge, and skills. After reporting my scores in each category I will reflect on my skills, my lowest score, and explore why I am poorest at this quality and how I can grow in my capabilities. Overall I am a competent communicator, but enhancements can be made in my conversation management, effectiveness and skills in order to build up my competence.

Nurses that demonstrate leadership skills have “the ability to influence others, through effective communication and interpersonal skills” (American Sentinel University). Commonly, directors and senior nurse managers are confined to a different schedule than bedside nurses; working outside of clinical practice and patient interaction and focusing primarily on addressing organizational issues, increasing morale and productivity among staff all while increasing the quality of patient care. Effective communication and the ability to influence is realistically maintained through minimal interpersonal contact. So, how is a leader expected to fulfill these requirements without continuing clinical experience and observing implemented changes? In 2013 a request for visible leadership care among Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust in London resulted in a new approach for senior nurse management and directors. As a reaction to The Francis Report the London government and Department of Health encouraged senior nurse managers to return to the floor among bedside nurses as a way to increase visible leadership through first hand experiences (Davies, 2013). In response, Davies (2013) examines the effectiveness of the senior staff and directors integrating with bedside nurses and the impact, if any, on visible leadership.
My current strengths include; my honesty and passion towards my work. I have always been positive and confident regarding my aims and targets. Along with these, I am a good decision maker, due to which I can make right and quick decisions. Moreover, I have ability to motivate others and do team work. I am also a responsible person, when I make a target; I work day and night to achieve my goal.
Throughout the leadership challenge, team projects, and other organizations my key strengths are consistently organization and communication. Even though my introverted personality can be a hindrance in large social group settings, my speech performance background assists me in communicating in one-on-one situations. This allows engagement for an individual to feel valued. These strengths are reflected conscientiousness, initiating structure, and self-awareness. My leadership style is to empower contributors to enact change rather than become a charismatic leader. As a result, I rely heavily on a supportive, nurturing style of leadership. Not only have I found this to produce the best results from me as a follower, but through my experiences it also fosters the greatest amount of engagement.
