A theoretical framework is a group of concepts with their definitions and existing theory that provides guidance to a research project by forming a valuable part of any nursing or scientific research (Nieswiadomy, 2012). There are many methods that could be applied as the theoretical framework for domestic violence (DV) research study. Most social sciences possibly will use the psychodynamic approach or the behavioral-cognitive approach as their theoretical framework, but a nursing theory will be applied in this study. The use of a theoretical framework is dependent on the theory that is relevant to the study. In this research work, Hildegard Peplau’s Interpersonal Relations Theory will be used as the theoretical framework for the study. In
My advice to you for a successful relationship is to be open and honest with each other about how you feel. It starts by identifying barriers to effective interpersonal communication. In fact, being open and honest with your significant other is very important in not creating problems later on the relationship. When you are honest you build trust. According to Pope (2007) the article states “When you’re suppressing communication and feelings during conflict with your husband, it’s doing something very negative to your physiology, and in the long term it will affect
When this assignment was given out, I instantly knew exactly what relationship I wanted to analyze: my ex-boyfriend’s and my relationship. It might sound like an odd relationship to choose, seeing as he is an ex, and it might not sound like a good starting point, but let me first say he is one of my best friends right now.
After this conversation, I felt a little bit happier because I got to talk to a friend that I haven’t spoken to in such a long time. I felt that it improved my
The people around you, whether they are close or far, can be of great value.
Throughout the years people have been given the privilege of interpersonal communication in many forms, such as letters, emails, texts, and social media. Letters were one of the very first mediums people used to communicate, and as the years went by technology improved, and emails were created. Emails served as a faster alternative for people in a business to contact someone else. Following that was the idea of text messaging, not only was it time efficient but also easier. That wasn’t the only thing connecting people all around the world though. Social media wasn’t the most popular to begin with, but as time went by, and it became more personal, people began to take a very big interest in it. Letters, emails, texts, and social media play

I am from Adams, Ma, and I enrolled in Ashford University to obtain my BA in Business Administration in view to open a business of my own when I graduate. When I first met my client, Jackie Hart, she was in the hospital with a broken hip. She lives alone in a senior apartment complex and she has no family. She was transferred to a nursing home for six weeks of rehab after her hip surgery. Jackie was adamant that she was going to return home after her stay in the nursing home. I got Jackie set up with Comfort Keepers so that once she returned home they would provide a bath aide 3x a week, light housekeeping aide 2x a week, and an aide to transport Jackie to the grocery store 1x a week. Comfort Keepers also set Jackie up with a toilet extender, shower seat, and walker. Jackie is to meet with registered dietician Kim Letts to go over proper nutritional needs to help her gain her strength
This paper reveals one of two theories based off of a personality based on the formation of intimate relationships during the stages of a person's lifetime. A person’s lifetime will go through these stages called the Attachment application that entails the comfort and security from a mother child’s relationship, to interactions with peers, friendships, multiple selves, and the attachment stage. While the second application named the Knapp’s Relationship Model explains how relationships grow and last and also how they end. This model is categorized into ten different stages which come under two interrelating stages and the Knapp’s

Critical events can happen anywhere at anytime. It is extremely important to take steps to be prepared for these events before they happen. From homes to schools, to businesses, no one or place is immune to critical events. The best way to handle a critical event is to identify it and prepare for it before it happens. One of the most important resources that can be had in any event is a solid line of communication. However, sometimes the critical event could be causing the communication in the organization to suffer. Kelsey Middle School is no expectation to this. School systems run as a hierarchy and rely upon their communication. When there are changes throughout this hierarchy in leadership, the communication
She focused on the nurse-patient connection, that is formed through a professional relationship influenced by verbal and Nonverbal communication. The interpersonal theory promotes four different aspects of nursing care, however, Hildegard's Peplau's interpersonal theory is replicated and implemented in modern, nursing practice through seven types of nursing roles; although the interpersonal theory is proven to be used in
The course assignment that had the most impact on me would be an assignment from an interpersonal relations class in winter of 2017. The directions stated write a 6 page essay about a topic pertinent to interpersonal relations, in APA format, from a third person perspective. The essay had to be scholarly and include at least three sources, cited in APA format, without any direct quotations. Therefore, I had to use paraphrasing to get my points across, which I had never done. The paper was graded heavily on the citations and formatting, which meant I had to pay close attention to the details. All of these areas are not strengths I possessed at the time, although I could learn how to do these things. The reasons this assignment had the most impact

Communication is the process of gathering meaning from the world around us and using verbal and non-verbal messages to share this meaning with others. (Beebe, Beebe, and Redmond, 2005) More specifically, interpersonal communication can be defined as; “a distinctive, transactual form of human communication involving mutual influence, usually for the purpose of managing relation ships.” (Beebe, Beebe, and Redmond, 2005, p. 6) Interpersonal communication is extremely complex and encompasses many different themes and issues that affect many aspects of our daily lives. A Theoretical Framework are theories that is formulated to explain, predict, and understand phenomena and, in many cases, to challenge and extend existing knowledge, within the limits of the critical bounding assumptions. The theoretical framework is the structure that can hold or support a theory of a research study. The theoretical framework introduces and describes the theory which explains why the research problem under study exists. There are three topics that will be discussed: (a) the background on domestic violence and the different reasons why women stay, (b) the criminal justice system and how the laws need to be
