Introduction
This research project deals with the code of ethics for interpreters and how they can be violated by interpreters. This research project will highlight the 8 code of ethics for interpreters.
Code of ethics can be defined as a set of rules or principles that outlining the social norms, rules, and responsibilities or proper practices for an individuals, party, or organizations.
Ethical codes are adopted by organizations to help members to be aware of the difference between the right and wrong behavior, or in other word to determine what is the acceptable or ethical behavior and un ethical behavior. Based on understanding the difference between the ethical and unethical behavior they can apply that understanding to their decisions.

The importance of code of ethics for interpreters
First of all, we have discussed the meaning of ethic as it deals with the rules that regulate the conduct or deals with what behavior can be considered an ethical or acceptable behavior, with regard to oneself, other people, and one’s environment.
Interpreting industry has a several codes of ethics and several standards of practice, moreover, there is no general agreement either nationally or internationally on which code of ethics or standards of practice must promote.
The code of ethics is important for interpreters in order to maintain the ethical standard of practice and to conduct their profession in an ethical and professional manner with compliance to laws or requirements under which they carry out the assignments.
