Iran is the world’s foremost supporter of terrorism. For decades this country pursues the nuclear arm technology, one of the world’s most terrifying weapons. Iran as well has established the largest ballistic missile force in the Middle East, which poses a rising threat to U.S. foreign bases, U.S. allies, and many other countries.
North Korea reportedly developed nuclear weapons and believed it can reach the mainland United States with nuclear warheads. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has shown himself to be just as aggressive and dangerous as his father and grandfather, previous leaders of DPRK. As it is clear from actions, DPRK will continue to conduct additional confrontational acts in order to achieve its foreign policy goals. And

IRI helped to form the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon and reportedly has supported terrorist and revolutionary groups all over the Middle East. It became the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism to advance its foreign policy goals.
In recent years, Iranian government has been one of the primary beneficiaries of the political mayhem that shaken the Middle East and North Africa during the “Arab Spring,” which diverted the United States’ focus from the ongoing improvement over Iran’s nuclear program. The dramatic events diverted international attention from Tehran’s stubborn non-cooperative of U.N. Security Council sanctions resolutions on the country’s nuclear production. Latest political disorder in the Arab world (mostly in states who opposed Iranian religious regime) has tumbled Egyptian government, and weakened governments in Jordan, Bahrain, and others in the region. Iran’s nuclear weapons program, concealed under its civilian nuclear power program, leads to global and regional nuclear race.

North Korea poses a complex military threat to harmony and
With sources dating back to the late 1960s, North Korea’s nuclear weapons program has expanded to be a useful instrument of the government’s security. Its principal motivations for developing the nuclear weapons are as follows: to block foreign pressure, create an international impact and preserve the terms and conditions of the DPRK (ruling party of North Korea). In contrast, Iran 's motivations to develop strategic weapons appear to be more complex than that of North Korea. Iran 's efforts to develop nuclear, chemical and
“ The Islamic Revolution of 1979: The Downfall of American- Iranian Relations” analyzes American- Iranian diplomacy from 1953- 1979. It is an explanation of the causes and developments of the Iranian revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini’s rise to power and
North Korea is ruled by a leader named Kim Jong II. North Korea is like an isolated country that are being brained wash by their one leader Kim Jong II. People are taken and are taught in a young age on who to rule and who are the bad people and have hate towards the US. North Korea has false fantasy about the US making
In his paper about Iran’s nuclear program, Barry R. Posen emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program may result on regional and global instability. On regional level, neighboring countries of Iran will feel threatened with Iran’s nuclear power. This situation may lead them to follow Iran’s step in developing nuclear weapons even though they do not have the capability to ensure the security of their nuclear sites. Clearly, nuclear weapons proliferation will put the Middle East in escalating dangerous situation. On global level, the U.S. and its allies are concerned that the situation in the Middle East may harm their national interests. The Middle East is still a prominent producer of oil which is the main energy resource for industrial
It was quite eye-opening to find out that every single country in our world has experienced a terrorist attack, whether that be minor or major. Gaining knowledge about this issue allowed us to come up with solutions to combat this problem, in order to avoid getting targeted by other countries. The largest and most well-known terrorist group in Syria is named ISIS (Islamic State of Iran and Syria). This group has taken over many cities in Syria, including the city of Damascus which has been named “ISIS’ Capital City”. ISIS frequently targets families, and many foreign civilians. During my research, I came to the realization that many other countries also have terrorist groups, which are unheard of in the media. For this task, I researched terrorism in Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Japan, China, Iran, and India. During this research, I learned that Saudi Arabia is one of the largest sponsors of terrorism, and they are the world’s largest source of funds/promoters of Salafist Jihadism, which is where terrorist groups such as ISIS, and al-Qaeda get their ideological basis. Iran, much like Saudi Arabia, is classified by the U.S government as the “most active state sponsor of terrorism”. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, they have been accused
North Korea is one of the last family-run dictatorships in the world. They have been determined to become a “Powerful and prosperous” nation (Kiener). North Korea is so set on being extremely powerful and building nuclear weapons but has not been able to feed their people for years. Missile testing has become more and more common from North Korea in the last year and has been striking fear into all nations around them. North Korea has launched missiles over Japan and most recently Hawaii; they have also conducted six underground nuclear weapon tests. Not only has North Korea become a threat to South Korea but also to the rest of the world. People all over the world are asking how can we protect ourselves and what actions will be made to stop North Korea from creating havoc throughout the world.

As you are all too aware, the United States and its Allies have faced troubles in the Middle East for many decades. Much of this is due to well-funded and well-protected terrorists operating in the region under the protective umbrella of participating countries, including Iran. Understandably, the thought of a nuclear capable Iran is terrifying to many of you. I wish to propose a different option than the current economic sanctions that have been taking place, one in which Iran becomes both more powerful and aligns it’s views with that of the United States.
Iran’s government by definition is considered to be theocratic since it is ultimately controlled by a single religious leader; Ayatollah Ali Hoseini-Khamenei. Although Iran has an elected president, Hassan Rouhani, the supreme leader/ayatollah controls the military, state broadcasting services and the judicial sector. The Islamic Republic of Iran, previously known as Persia, first established diplomatic ties with the United States in 1883. Many people do not understand the importance, significance, and/or second and third order effects of U.S.-Iranian relations, although important. As mentioned in an article by Akhilesh Pillalamarri, “Iran is uniquely poised to help stabilize the region,” likely through its current circumstances and shared international interests. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to describe the significance past and present of Iran to the United States and the second and third order effects, furthermore providing predictive analysis concerning the overall significance. Secondly, assessing and discussing how Iran impacts the Middle East in all aspects while providing analysis into the second and third order effects. Lastly, this paper will formulate a clear and concise short and long term predictive assessment on Iran, with a clear picture of the future intelligence value of the country.
Modern Iran, has been the source of many problems since the revolution, in the world there have been many outbreaks of violence by Iran, like the threat of violence to the Israel government, also very offensive towards western countries. Iran should be monitored because of the religious autocratic government they have. It is crucial that Iran be closely monitored due to its many extremists, which Iran has provided equipment, weapons, training and giving sanctuary to this extremists. They are an unstable country trying to obtain dangerous nuclear power, which the UN has been doing negotiations to prevent them to finish the research for this nuclear power, that they want to turn into nuclear weapons, this mass destruction weapons could become
Access to nuclear, radiological, chemical, or biological weapons is becoming more and more available. There is sufficient evidence that many terrorist organizations are now concentrating their efforts to develop, acquire, and deploy different types of WMD’s. If these organizations were to be successful in acquiring the technology and supplies needed, it is almost certain that an attack against the United States would be forthcoming. Terrorist organizations may also look to underground smuggling networks and international criminal organizations for aid in acquiring or developing nuclear
Most of the countries involved in state-sponsored terrorism make modest attempts to disassociate themselves with terrorist organizations. These countries do this in hopes that the United Nations will not place sanctions. More often than not, these countries continue their support of various terrorist groups. They support the terrorist organization in various ways: financially, training, supplies. Iran has remained the most active state sponsor of terrorism to date (State Department, 2013). Iran supports several different terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command and Hizballah. Often times, Iran is involved in the planning and support of different
This paper explores long-strained relations between Iran and United States that began decades ago. The paper also examines the events that led to this decades of disagreement between Washington and Tehran. Allies to enemies, that is what happen after series of events such as the CIA backed coup in 1953 to the hostage crises at the U.S Embassy in Tehran. The U.S and many of its allies criticized Iran’s nuclear program which they believed that Iran was using it to develop nuclear weapons. Iran on the other hand denied this accusations and stated that their nuclear program was only for civilian use only. After long talks and crippling sanctions against Iran, finally there was a historic agreement between Iran and six world powers that would stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and would lift the sanctions imposed on Iran.
The 1979 Revolution in Iran ended a truly symbiotic relationship between the United States and the Shah, thus creating the beginning of a longwinded road of economic sanctions imposed upon Iran. “As a result of Iran 's support for international terrorism and its aggressive actions against nonbelligerent shipping in the Persian Gulf, President Ronald Reagan, on October 29, 1987, issued Executive Order 12613 imposing a new import embargo on Iranian-origin goods and services” , and for when rogue Iranians took American citizens hostage at the embassy, releasing them months later, the relationship began to become strained. In following the history of the economic sanctions, I’ll begin with an outline of the United States’ most
Throughout the years and the struggles of the Iranian terrorist groups, the differences between Iran and Israel, and having simple compromise with the U.S. government alone, comes down to the realization of one thing, Iran cannot be trusted. Trust can be easy, but it also can be pretty hard for certain people, groups, or even countries. Iran has exhibited that they simply cannot be trusted; in this one instance, Iran portrays that they can be deceptive and unreliable to America. In January of 2007, a gunman from the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group “posed as a US security team to get past the headquarters checkpoint manned by Iraqi police. They traveled in black SUVs, had American-style weapons, wore US military combat fatigues and spoke English” (the killing of US). As they passed the barrier, they proceeded to shoot and wound two soldiers in which they took captive and fled to the Iranian border. Later that day, the two American soldiers were handcuffed together, and then shot on the spot. This is just one out of several instances that illustrate this devastating situation. Since 1979, when the theocratic government of Iran came to power, Iran has sworn to build nuclear weapons, threatened other Middle Eastern nations, and aided terrorist groups. For these reasons, the United States government should consider them an enemy.
