Vaccines. Insulin. Makeup. Moisturizer. All of these have been developed, tested, and claimed safe for human use. How? Animal testing. Since nearly 500 BC, research and testing on living animals for human purpose has introduced hundreds of new medicinal and cosmetic advances for the human race. While some may see the advantages, others see the concept as just completely inhumane and unnecessary. Why is there such a big divide? The reason, simply, is because of the lack of education on the issue. Being one of the most controversial issues in America today, many people believe animal testing should be replaced by other methods like testing on bacteria and animal hormones because animal testing is detrimental and inhumane to the animals; however, by researching the regulations and safety of the animals during testing, these people can see that animal testing is in fact the only beneficial and necessary method of testing for the safety of the human race. More than half of those who are against testing on animals are only educated about the harmful effects, rather than the advantages that this science delivers to the human race. Jacqueline Traide is one who strongly advocates for the protection of animals. In 2012, she put herself in the same testing conditions that the animals are put in so she could help display what pain and torture they go through. For ten hours, she was on display for all to see as scientists pulled out her hair, poured a stinging serum into her
Animal testing is a cruel way to try and develop new products. There are several other and much safer options that will get better results and potentially save up to two million animals every single year. The Animal Welfare Act is in place but only minimally protects certain animals and leaves many others, up to 95%, vulnerable to atrocious fates. The animals not protected by this act (mostly small or considered house pets) are most widely used and not related closely to humans. There are several alternative methods but they are being neglected since they are new and not being enforced because of it. A few countries and states have banned certain aspect of animal testing but others are encouraging this cruelty.
Human Society International has conducted many studies over the years and found that animals used in experiments are force fed , subjected to water dehydration and physical exhaustion, or inflicted them with burns and wounds, using other torturing methods to check that the medicines or anything that companies will sell us
An issue that is hotly debated is about animal testing. It is clear that overall animal testing should not be allowed. It shouldn’t be allowed because animal testing does not even do much to the humans, because it can hurt or kill the animals, and finally because these animals that are being tested aren’t being protected the right way. Even though that other people could say that animals are a great replicate of humans and can develop cures. Also they could say that it helps less people get sick, it kills the animals by the scientists not protecting them. Overall animals shouldn’t be tested on.
Although many people agree with testing products on animals, they ask ‘Who else are we going to test our products on?’ Nobody! Don’t add harsh chemicals in the products and then the animals and humans are both healthier. Beyond millions of animals that die and are captured every year just from animal testing alone. Treating an animal cruelty is never okay, especially when they’re torturing the animals with harsh chemicals due to testing. If people would stand up and try to protect animals we’d be saving certain animals from becoming extinct and we’d also save a ton of money.
Animals are now used as objects of experiments to test a variety of products; like shampoo, makeup, and medicines. Animals are almost always used in cancer research but animals never get the human form of cancer which affects the lungs. Animals are not required in animal testing, but people seem to ignore this statement and test on animals anyway. Testing cosmetics on animals is somewhat pointless because animals have different skin and hair than humans have. Animals are not even required in animal testing at all; a makeup company can release an untested product at their own risks. If any product says “cruelty free” on it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the products inside the product were not tested on. Animals are used to test so many products now-a-days, animals are used to test so many useless
the purpose of testing cosmetics, and the effects of vaccinations needing approval from the FDA. Animals are treated as property by pet owners and are maliciously hunted and slaughtered by humans daily.
Do you love animals? Do you think using animals for testing is good? Well scientists and vets test on animals to find a way to cure diseases like cancer in humans. If the tests fail the animal has to die or they will get really ill. They even use cosmetics on animals (they apply makeup on them.) Some countries ban animal testing for cosmetics. Animal testing is torture for animals and should be banned everywhere.
Animal testing has become a controversial issue among many people in the world today. Some of these people involved in this controversial debate believe that animal testing is unethical and should be replaced by other methods. The other group of people in this debate believe that animal testing is necessary in order to research new products that cannot be tested on humans. Traditional animal testing forces animals to undergo numerous experiments for different forms of research. Medical, cosmetic, and many other types of research experiments use animals to provide the results on how the new product may affect humans. There are many people that support the use of alternative methods to animal research and then
Animal testing is good. If we didn’t test on animals then we wouldn’t know if our medicine worked or not. If we couldn’t test our medicine then we could give a human it and they could die.
Did you know that animals die from animal testing? I bet that you thought most animals survived animal testing. But the truth is that animal testing is an inconsistent way of finding cures for harmful diseases and it is cruel to the animals that those cures are tested on, these animals are dying from the world around them. Some people say that animal testing is a good way finding cures to diseases. Here are three reasons that prove their point is wrong, Both humans and animals die from animal testing, Animal testing brings down the economy, and Animal testing is animals cruelty
Genesis 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Biblically animals should serve man but organizations like (Peta) disagree. Animal testing on ostracized species should be one for medical advances only as human as possible.
In conclusion, animal testing should not be allowed, because animals suffer and most of the time die. Animal testing is expensive, animals feel pain and humans and animals are not the same, so the testing would not be accurate. Testings animals comes with a price and a life. It may solve some problems for America, but it creates them too. So, is animal testing acceptable or
When I apply my favorite blush, I get so happy because it enhances my beauty along with other products I use on my face. What does not cross my mind is that this product was probably tested on an animal. Most women do not realize that most of their makeup has been used on animals. Makeup is a popular product tested on animals among other products that you would never think of. It makes sense for people to kill animals to provide food but why do companies test on animals knowing it could harm them? Animal testing is when experiments are made on animals to test the effectiveness and safety of a product. The purpose of this is to see how the test subject reacts to whatever is being tested on them because humans and animals have a similar physiology. Depending on how the animal reacts to the product, it gives an idea on how a person might react to using the product. This type of research goes back to the days of Aristotle, who was one of the first to perform animal testing.
Hundred of millions of animals die each year from humans. Human are testing products on animals to make sure they are safe for humans, which is called animal testing. Animals are tested on with medical, cosmetic, and drug products. No country has completely banned animal testing and it is being used around the world. The problem with using animals to test products is it can lead to inaccurate test results and a waste of animal life. Instead of using animals, there are many more productive and safer ways to test products. Human life should use other methods such as chemosynthetic livers and vitro methods instead of animal testing.
Whether animal experimentation is justified or not has been undecided for many decades. Many years back, the debate was carried out by animal rights groups which were led by the Cambridge University to get rid of its plan for a primate research in 2004. Since this debate, many supporters have become more confident in speaking out what they believe and getting their points across to people.
