The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, written by Mark Twain, Twain shows how Huckleberry Finn grows as a person. He uses important parts of the story to show that Huck is willing to go against what he was taught as a child to do what he thinks is right. Twain uses parts in the story like when Huck did not turn Jim into the slave hunters, tries to save the murderers, and when he tells Mary Jane about the King and Duke to show that Huck has grow into a nobler person. These are used throughout the whole novel to show that Huck was growing and maturing, while learning what is noble even if it went against what he thought was right. Even though he was a companion with the King and Duke, he did not agree with the scamming they were doing. He knew that the scamming the King and Duke were doing was completely wrong he did not stop it for the safety of Jim. The King and Duke were the ones that were keeping Jim safe, but when Huck felt that it was really wrong he tried to do something about it. He felt that the King and Duke scamming Mary Jane and her family, was completely wrong so he did what he could. Whenever he could do something to help Mary Jane he would, like telling her they were not really her family, and trying to hide the money for the family. These parts of the novel all showed that Huck Finn grew and began to understand that what he was taught as a kid was not always right and he should go with his instinct. He decided against giving Jim away to the hunters and that turned out to be a good decision as it turned out Miss Watson passed away and gave Jim his freedom. As well with the murderers, if they had saved them the murderers most likely would have killed Huck and Jim. These all turned out to be good decisions that lead to something
