Many people ridicule Christians for believing in a man who resurrected from the dead. They laugh at Christians and criticize them for basing their faith on an event that lack proof and evidence. However, the evidence that skeptics use to challenge the Christian faith, in actuality, support the claims that Jesus truly was the God that he claimed to be. The evidence that affirms Jesus’ claims to be true include his lifestyle and teachings, the prophecies that he fulfilled, historical facts, and the dramatic transformation of the lives of his disciples. Many may ask Christians how they can believe in a Savior without proof of his divinity; but, in reality, God has given us an abundance of signs. He is still providing us with compelling evidence

Over the course of history, the historical information regarding Jesus Christ has been interpreted by many different individuals and has led to different beliefs and views regarding the existence of Jesus Christ as a real man. Today I will be interpreting this evidence and i will be attempting to answer the question “Was Jesus Christ a real man?”. The evidence I will be looking at to answer this question will be information regarding the context of Jesus Christ, the historical accounts of non-Christian authors as well as the evidence for the Bible which is the main source regarding the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus did claim to be God in human form not once, nor on a few occasions, but frequently and consistently throughout his sermons. This is established in all four gospels, and in Paul's letters to the early church. Jesus himself claimed to be God, in what he said, his miracles and in what he did. The earliest Christians recognize that Jesus was God in human form starting with Peter's prediction before the resurrection. The whole theology of Christianity has been centered on the divinity of Jesus Christ throughout history.

There is a lot of evidence which point to the truth of Christianity. If the resurrection of Jesus truly occurred, then Jesus is God the son. If the resurrection did not occur, then he is not God the son.

Jesus is real because the information that scholars found and because he taught religion to us. A quote by Jeffery L. Sheler in the article,

There are many things about Jesus that Dr. Ehrman and Dr. Bird do not debate in these books. They both recognize that Jesus was a real historical figure that was born in Galilee. In class, Dr. Ehrman talked about veridical vs non-veridical vision. He believes that they may have had visions, or hallucinations, of Jesus after his crucifixion. It is nearly impossible to prove if Jesus truly appeared to them or not. It would be amazing if new evidence could be found for these types of discussions.

The question of God’s existence has lingered in the mind of man since the dawn of religion. The simple fact that billions of people consider themselves to have some allegiance to a deity means that this question deserves to be seriously considered. In this paper I will argue for the sake that God does exist and the reasons why. I will include many of the arguments found in our philosophy book and those covered in class as well as other subjects such as human suffering and the reasons God chose to make the world as it is today, also including examples from life and the movies we watched in class.

This debate between Ehrman vs White was very interesting. They both have study the same data but have polar opposite’s views on it. One sees the ends off faith and the other its very foundation. White talks about how it’s unreasonable that we think that God controls the hand of the scribe. White doesn’t have much evidence of this because we no one has a perfect Bible. There are so many different versions of the bible that it impossible to have one perfect one. When watching this debate it felt like James White was really bringing down Ehman. He never brought up good content about what Ehrman ideas or what he written. I really liked how Ehrman had good content in what he was saying and also I felt a sense of truth in what he talked about rather

In Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost the dual acknowledgement between the holy and unholy trinity is accounted for, while more emphasis is placed on the unholy trinity than the holy trinity. Though in the theological standpoint a certain trio stand outs above all others- the trio of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. The holy trinity is very symbolic in the Bible. In many instances it is referenced in the Bible about the Holy Spirit being one. In the book of Deuteronomy the writer Moses says “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!". When exploring the concept of ‘God the Son’, the incarnation and attributes of God as seen in Christ enter the picture. In order for human sin to be covered, a human sacrifice is all that could meet the requirement ordained by God, yet, they had to be sinless. Only the incarnate God could fulfill this role, exhibiting qualities of God Himself, such as selflessness, unconditional love, and purity. Another core trait was humbleness, although Jesus held the highest status in all the world, which shone brightly in His ministry, as He also served the children of God. Paul captured the essence of Jesus as God and the reality of the incarnation in these verses, “let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God…made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men” (Philippians 2:5-7, NKJV).

In the view of His deity, Christ is God. Not only is he Christ, but the Son of God, and called God in the New Testament.

When it comes to faith or belief Nash says that inclusivists have a different focus. “Inclusivists believe that an act of faith is necessary for salvation, they insist that this faith need not have Jesus as its direct object” (Nash, 1994, p. 123).
