Is Lady Macbeth To Blame

Macbeth, as a play is a well-known tragedy that stills retains influence largely in the literary world but also the world as a whole. The issue of who the blames for the tragedy falls upon is a misapprehended topic, wrongly thought to be controversial at all. The blame falls solely on Macbeth for several reasons. He was the one to commit regicide and follow through on the actions incited by Lady Macbeth. He had complete trust and faith in what the witches said without even an inkling of suspicion that they might be using him and decided to take action rather than wait for the fulfillment of the prophecies. He made the decision to be a tyrannical ruler bordering on being a Megalomaniac. Macbeth is the only reason and cause that everything went awry.

Who out of the Macbeths is more responsible of Duncan’s Death? Duncan was a great and noble king to all people. Killing him would have made no sense to anyone if he was such a good guy, unless it was for something they wanted out of it, like the throne. This is what Macbeth was urging and wishing to get being told by three witches that he would take the throne and be crowned king.

In the Shakespeare play, Macbeth, Macbeth is responsible for all the deaths in the play because Macbeth didn’t have to do anything about the prophecies, he could have chosen not to kill King Duncan, and Macbeth decided all on his own to have Macduff’s family killed.

Macbeth is more responsible for Duncan’s death than Lady Macbeth. It is clear that both had a role in this murder, however Macbeth actually did it. Both of them benefited from the death of the king. Macbeth wanted to be king even after being appointed Thane of Cawdor. Once the witches told him his future fate and it started coming true, he knew it had to be done.

The Tragedy of Macbeth details the downfall of the tragic hero, Macbeth, and is one of William Shakespeare’s most famous works of tragedy. Macbeth’s bloody murders and eventual descent into complete madness serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of uncontrolled ambitions in humanity. Macbeth may not be held responsible for the death of Duncan and Macduff’s family, but he should be for that of Banquo’s. It is definitely arguable that Macbeth is the cause behind the death of Duncan, Banquo and Macduff’s family; however, the influence of others and his mental instability greatly reshaped his persona, as such, Macbeth cannot always be held responsible for his actions.

I think macbeth is to blame, one of my reasons is he was talked into killing the king way too easy he had the chance to say no but he went along with it anyway.act 1, scene 7, lines 79-80,”Now i’m decided, and will exert every muscle in my body to commit this crime”. Macbeth is saying he will do anything to kill duncan and become king no matter what he has to do. My other reason for blaming macbeth is he betrays anyone who is in his way to become king or stay king.

Everyone throughout time is responsible for every move that the certain person makes, whether or not that this person is pushed to make a decision that he or she makes. Once that person decides to be pushed by another person, any move that the person makes from that point on has become their personal responsibility. In William Shakespeare's, Macbeth, Macbeth is pushed by many different characters and feelings. It is believed that Macbeth is not responsible for actions that he makes throughout this play, except every move he made was ultimately decided by himself. Whether it be prophecies, or instructions given by his overbearing wife, he made the decision to be controlled.

So Macbeth was basically a small part in her plot in order to achieve personal gain and wealth, while it was Lady Macbeth who had the direct intent and involvement in the plot. Thus making it not exactly Macbeth’s fault, but Lady Macbeth for pressuring him and breaking him down like her own mold of clay to get what she wants.

Lady Macbeth is mostly responsible for the plotting and murder that Macbeth commits. Lady Macbeth believes the only way husband can become King is if he kills Duncan, she forces Macbeth to kill Duncan in many different ways, and when it goes too far she doesn’t do anything to stop Macbeth. How could it be that Lady Macbeth is the leader in this? Could it just be because she wants her husband to be happy?

Nevertheless, Macbeth takes matters into his own hands rather than just letting events play out as they will. Lady Macbeth also encourages Macbeth to kill Duncan. She is almost most status and power hungrier than he is. She calls his manhood into questions,

Lady Macbeth does all the planning for killing Duncan. She does not allow Macbeth to make the decision, she herself makes the decision of killing Duncan. She wants to make the plan herself so that her plan does not fail. According to Klett Lady Macbeth, “takes the more “manly” role, providing an example of courage and resolve that he must follow if wants to fulfill his desires” (Klett 1). Lady Macbeth plays the masculine role in the family.

The tragedy of Macbeth included many deaths, but there was no given answer about who was held accountable for all the deaths. The killing of King Duncan was triggered by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Even though both were involved, Lady Macbeth was most responsible for the killing of King Duncan because she is the more evil character, she manipulated her husband into doing it, and because she established the details of the plan to kill Duncan.

Lady Macbeth is essentially an evil woman. She condones the death of innocent people and even wishes she were a man so she could commit murder herself. The idea to murder King Duncan was thought of by no other than Lady Macbeth,

In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, malicious characters are portrayed as obviously evil and influential. Macbeth, however, is one character that is not represented in this way, in fact he is quite the opposite. The new king is seen as a victim of his foul wife’s influences and the witches prophecies but is really only supported by them and these ideas, leading him to make decisions based on evil ambition and a wicked desire for power. Readers are pushed to believe that Macbeth deserves sympathy, but as all humans do, Macbeth has free will allowing him to make his own decisions which means that if he were a victim, he would only be this due to his depraved actions.
