S.W.O.T. also brings to light threats that may be directly or indirectly related to profit drops within your company. These threats can be discussed to make sure that if anything that can be done would be done in order to avert the threat. Below is an image to provide more insight into S.W.O.T analysis. (TaskMap, 2011, image 1) Decision Support System Technology First off, what is DSS? “A decision support system (DSS) is a computer program application that analyzes business data and presents it so that users can make business decisions more easily.” (Rouse, 2010, para. 1) “It is an "informational application" (to distinguish it from an "operational application" that collects the data in the course of normal business operation).” (Rouse, 2010, para. 1) This systems data collected is usually displayed in a graphical format on the dashboard.
