Reverend Tsunzeo Wachi was a reverend of the fourth Marine Division Association was instrumental in arranging the resulting commemoration which occurred on Iwo Jima in February 1985. It was the first such joint American-Japanese World War 2 memorial ceremony. Reverend Wachi also referred to as “the mystery man” graduated from the Eta Jima which is a Naval Academy, in 1973. On the other we have Admiral Chester William Nimitz, Nimitz at the age of 16 entered the United States Naval Academy. He was the youngest plebe in his very class.
