Upton Sinclair was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 20th 1978. Sinclair grew up in a broken household; his father was an alcohol salesman and killed himself drinking. While his mother would not even think about drinking alcohol. So these personalities naturally clashed. So Sinclair found some solace in books, Sinclair was a natural writer and he began publishing at the young age of fifteen years old. Sinclair started off going to school at a small college by the name of New York City College. This was just temporary as Sinclair would need time and money to move higher up to a form of better education. Bradbury was born August 22 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois. At the age of 12 or 13 he made a decision of becoming a writer. He made this decision because he wanted to “live forever through his fiction”

According to Franklin Walker, the well-known American author of such beloved titles as The Call of the Wild, White Fang, and The Sea Wolf, was born on January 12, 1876 in San Francisco, California. He spent much of his childhood on ranches and the streets of Oakland, as well as sailing on San Francisco Bay. During his teenage years, London fell into strange and unfulfilling jobs that led to a personal revelation about the importance of an education. London spent a few months educating himself on both high school and college material, but when word of discovered gold in the Klondike spread, London, at the age of twenty-one, left his home to participate in the hunt for treasure. He published a short story collection called The Son of the Wolf in 1900 and three years later his novel The Call of the Wild awarded him new fame and notoriety. After a successful career as a writer, London died in 1916 at the age of forty (Walker 1).

From a young age Bradbury showed much interest into english literature. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois and spent much of his childhood growing up there. At the young age of 12 he decided to become a writer. Being a very clever and bright kid Bradburry began his writing career on butcher paper. (Jensen & Johnston 1). Bradbury spent his teenage years enrolled at Los Angeles High Schools.

St. Mathew’s Catholic school (JK – 8) located in a large city with a diverse cultural community in the eastern part of the city of Toronto, Population 104,499. There are 420 students studying, among 169 are in the primary level, 147 in the junior level and 104 are at the intermediate level. There are nineteen classes from Jk to Grade 8. In grade 6 and 7 two spilt classes are there. In grade 5, there are two full classes and 25 students in Neesha’s class.

Jack London was born in 1876, and died in 1916. He was born in San Francisco, California, and was the son of Flora Wellman Chaney. When he was a child, he would sometimes living with the Prentisses. Mr. and Mrs. Prentisses were African Americans who served as London’s surrogate parents. When Jack turned 15, he sailed the San Francisco Bay as an oyster pirate. During his time on the water, London developed an alcohol problem, which would eventually become alcoholism. In 1894, London was arrested as a vagrant and spent 30 days in Erie County Penitentiary.

Witnessed the revolution in Cuba that changed him, he began writing more characters with stories that related to oppression.

John Griffin Chaney, known better today as Jack London, was an American-born journalist and author whose work left an imprint on the American society that can still be seen today. London was born on January 12, 1876, in San Francisco, California. Through his writings, London was able to convey his options on life and on death, emphasizing the struggles humanity faces to live with integrity and dignity. London was a pioneer in fiction writing transforming the art of writing into a sustainable job. In addition to these accomplishments, London fought passionately for the right of works, socialism, and unionization. His mother married Civil war veteran John London, shortly after, his family moved to Oakland. He grew up working hard and did a lot of reading in his spare time. London’s writing career began when his mother urged him to write and submit a book about a voyage in which London encountered a typhoon. Following his victory, London dedicated his life to writing. At first he had a problem with lack of willing publishers, so he went to the East coast. But than he went back to California and attended college there. Soon afterwards he went to the Yukon in Canada to search out fortune, where he received inspiration for some of his works. London went back to California at age 22 where he soon started writing for the Overland Monthly, from which he received discipline as a writer. Then he started his habit to write at least 1,000 words a day. When Jack London wrote The Call of the Wild, which takes place in the Yukon, it was successful and earned London fame. In the last 16 years of his life, London published 50 books, most of which were a success. In 1900 London had married Bess Maddern, then had two daughters, Joan and Bess. I would choose legalism because it's meant just for rules. If we never had rules, everyday life would be Cayos. Rules can always keep us safe from any kind of danger. Also if we have rules little kids can have fun, go outside and not ever worry about anything dangerous or scary. That's why I think we should have Legalism, Strict rules.

John Steinbeck began writing very young, at age fourteen he wrote short stories and poems. At age seventeen, he enrolled in Stanford University, mainly to please his parents, not for his benefit. He stayed there and studied for six years, dropping out in 1925 with no degree (“John Steinbeck – Biographical”).

I’m not here to make excuses nor am I writing this with intentions to earn sympathy. If there’s one thing I want the reader to get out of this, it’s that I’ve come a long way not only academically, but as a human being.

I think that the point of his essay was to express his point that no matter what we have to strive for excellence and settle for nothing less than what we feel we deserve. He came back to his roots and grew from his past experiences much the same way that I have
