This study delimits if jackfruit seeds is effective as a nutritive organic chips. To find out if there are nutritional values that we could gain just by eating the jackfruit seeds chips and to determine if there is a significant difference between the jackfruit seeds from the commercial chips in terms of color, odor, texture and taste.
Significance of the Study
Since most of the people today just throw the jackfruit seeds in the garbage can after separating it from the fruit. The researchers thought of utilizing the jackfruit seeds as a nutritive organic chip because we all knew that people nowadays are frequently or love eating junk food that has too much fat, salt and sugar which are detrimental to our health. This study would also help us know how to produce more convenient and affordable nutritive organic chips or any kind of food from the seeds of jackfruit.
Chapter II
Review of the Related Literature
Jackfruit, cultivated in China, India, Africa and the Philippines, grows in semi-tropical and tropical climates. It is an evergreen tree, which grows up to 70 feet under favorable conditions. It also bears fruit as early as 3 years after planting and produces fruit that weighs as much as 50 kg.
It is important to note that jackfruit is rich in many nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, manganese, zinc, dietary fiber, protein, carbohydrates etc. Remember that vitamins, proteins,
