Following the Federation of Australia on 1 January 1901, enthusiasm for a national day of celebration began across the country. In response, the Wattle Day League formed in September 1909 to campaign for the establishment of such a national day. Their aim was to promote patriotic pride among Australians and ‘Australian Britons’ with the first South Australian branch forming in August 1910. On 8 January 1913 Wattle Day became federalised as a day of celebration seeing the wattle blossom become incorporated into the design of the Commonwealth Arms. From 1775-1785 many major things happened. One being the revolutionary war, it was a major piece of that time period. Along with Inventions, core values, new fashions, the economy, and the overall politics of the war. Mens clothing during the revolutionary war wasn't paid as much attention to, because the main focus was on uniforms. Although men who weren't fighting, had the same type of clothes as before the war.

John Dilulio, who knew James Q. The steam engine had been around for a while, but wasn’t as advanced and wasn’t used on such a large scale such as powering transportation. Boats had been used for centuries for the main forms of transport, however, when Robert Fulton put the new steam engine to work to power a steamboat, it meant even more capital for businessmen. More jobs were created as the waterways were widened and dug deeper for the steamboats. Captains and crews were also formed to man the boats.

Some may have been the first players picked; others may have been the last. However, there is more at stake than who is chosen and in which order. A larger question exists and that is the competitive nature of high school and collegiate athletics. A deeper understanding of high school and collegiate athletics programs can reveal the hidden and unconscious truths intertwined with a competitive environment.

A professor of education at the University of Hawaii Kathryn Au wrote an article on Culturally responsive education titled “Culturally Responsive Instruction as a Dimension of New Literacies” in the article she talks about how she sees culturally responsive instruction as a theme running through literacy curriculum aimed at helping students of diverse backgrounds achieve high levels of literacy in their education. also how the idea behind culturally responsive teaching is that the teaching approach build upon the strengths that students bring from home cultures, instead of ignoring these strengths or requiring that students learn through approaches that conflict with their cultural values. Culturally responsive teaching has the goal of helping students grasp academic concepts through means and content responsive to their cultural values and practices.
