A precipitating stressor event that probably triggered the onset of Janet's schizophrenic episode is her first time being away from home. If she was a shy and socially awkward girl, this major transition from home to a dorm setting could have a heavy impact on her mental state. Other things that may have contributed could also be that she would have constant arguments with her mother. At that younger age, it did not seem as if her condition would comeback or get worse in the future. The arguments would sometimes lead to Janet inflicting self harm (Clinical Discussion ). In addition, Janet felt uncomfortable if someone would look at her while she's eating. Another factor that may have triggered this behavior could have been her roommates and the new environment. She was not used to that environment, therefore she was uncomfortable and did not feel safe. . She was then left to be controlled by her long encased schizophrenia. Several factors showed symptoms of Janet becoming schizophrenic. …show more content…
M. Janet began to get attached to her professor Dr. M and feel that they were in love. The relationship she created in her head towards him “helped her cope with the anxiety she felt from being in a new environment with new people (Clinical Discussion). Janet's primary delusion is that she has to be with her professor to save the world and people were telling her that this was the only way to save the world. This delusion is saving her from her self fears. No one is really putting these thoughts in her head, but they have a direct purpose (Chaudhury & Kiran 2009). The delusion of staying with her professor sees that her parents and nurses are trying to get in the way of the happiness and safety with
The main reason that Timothy McVeigh was investigated for his involvement into the Oklahoma City Bombing was because he had been arrested for possessing and transporting a loaded handgun that was found being stopped for no license plate on his vehicle. This happened only within 90 minutes of the explosion after he had left the Murrah Federal Building. Evidence linked McVeigh and Terry Nichols to the attack and Nichols was arrested later. Nichols was linked to assisting in the stealing and purchasing of the bomb materials along with McVeigh that they stored in storage lockers. McVeigh rented the Ryder truck under an alias and drove it to the Murrah Federal Building on the day of the bombing. Terry Nichols parked a getaway car several blocks

The Boston Marathon bombing was a shocking and devastating event in the history of the United States. In the middle of what was supposed to be a very happy and cheerful event, three people lost their lives and 264 others were injured when two pressure cooker bombs went off near the finish line. Even though this was a truly horrific event, the initial response of the Boston Police Department to the explosions was incredible. Within minutes, additional Emergency Medical Service teams and the Boston Fire Department were rushing to the scene, hotels were evacuated, and police closed down a 15 block area around the blast site. The remaining runners were also redirected to a different area away from the explosion. It was truly impressive to see how well prepared everybody was in the case of an

The Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah building took place on April 19, 1995 by a 24-year-old army veteran, by the name of Timothy McVeigh and up until the 9-11 attack in New York City, was the worst terrorist attack on U.S soil. It took the lives of 168 people, leaving another 509 injured. McVeigh planned his attack for the date of the second anniversary of the governments assault near Waco. The raid in Waco ended unsuccessfully with six Branch Davidians and four federal agents dead. The Oklahoma bombing meant nothing more to him than pure revenge, his only goal was vengeance and he felt merely nothing.

On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh detonated a powerful vehicle-borne explosive device in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The blast killed 168 people, including 19 children, and hundreds of people were injured. Roughly one third of the federal building was destroyed, and many neighboring buildings were also destroyed or damaged. The unfortunate event that took place on April 19, 1995 was a day that would change history throughout the nation in an unimaginable way due to the tragic circumstances that unfortunately unfolded. Terry Nichols received life in prison. “Until September 11, 2001, the Oklahoma City bombing was the worst terrorist attack to take place on U.S. soil.”A bomb carried in a Ryder truck exploded in front of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City at 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995. “The blast killed 168 people, including 19 children. More than 500 people were injured.Timothy J. McVeigh and Terry L. Nichols were convicted of the attack.” Just because, one person messing around caused an accident, this wasn’t supposed to happen. This accident was so bad we have lost many people. It’s very upsetting to the people that was lost the members and i’m sure were very angry.
In 1995, it all started as a peaceful Wednesday morning. People were starting work or just waking up in Oklahoma City. While all these peoples’ days were starting, a young male parked a yellow truck outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. That day, everyone's’ life in that building changed forever. The effects of the April 19,1995 bombing were more than just physical to the survivors of this horrific event.
The Oklahoma Bombing was one of the most disastrous, overwhelming attacks in America’s history. One horrible man went through with this plan to destroy many people’s lives just because of his own paranoia. He specifically chose his target to cause an uproar to draw attention to himself and his “accomplishment.” He did all this and, as a result, America grieved together and grew together to hate a common enemy.
Houston Police Sergeant Steve Perez saw the flooding taking over his city, and so did his wife.
Following the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, Rescorla invited Hill to New York, where he hired him as a security consultant in order to assess the building 's security. Although no arrests had yet been made, Rescorla believed that the bomb had been planted by Muslims. Hill went undercover in several mosques throughout New Jersey, showing up for morning prayers at dawn. He took on the character of an anti-American Muslim, in order to interview the other visitors to the mosques. He concluded that the attack was likely planned by a radical imam at a mosque in New York or New Jersey. Followers of Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, a radical Muslim cleric based in Brooklyn, were subsequently convicted of the bombing.

In the last decade it’s amazing how technology has advanced over the years and will continue to advance for many years to come. Every year there is a new cell phone from Apple or Samsung, with new features that make our lives more convenient. From faster software to higher picture quality and so on. I am unable to recall the last time I used a camera to take pictures or went to the bank to deposit a check. Technology advances every day and many can’t wait to see what’s next to come.
