What makes one a serial killer?
The mind of a criminal has never been diagnosed. The majority of serial killer's actions relate to the experiences of their past. Serial killer is a person who usually murders multiple people. Most serial killers used to abuse animals in their childhood. Most of the serial killers started off with killing and abusing cats. They have been known to be thrown out of windows and sliced open, just to see how long they would stay alive (The link). And it is important to know the difference between terrorists and mass murderers, their goals are significantly different from each other.

Jeffrey Dahmer was one of the bizarre criminals in the 1990’s. He began to show antisocial behavior at an early age. Becoming more and more socially withdrawn and uncommunicative as he aged. He was interested in dead animals and was found dissecting or dissolving them on occasion. Those behaviors are certainly indicative of problems with impulsivity and aggression. Further, they reflect antisocial attitudes, values, and belief because they indicate a disturbing lack of regard for the sanctity of life. Dahmer had no friends and certainly did not use his leisure time to participate in prosocial behaviors. Additionally, he began abusing alcohol in high school and continued doing so throughout much of his life. Court records stated he allegedly dismembered fifteen men and boys in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For several weeks his case brought the attention of the Milwaukee Sentinel and the Milwaukee Journal, as well as the local electronic media and the national media which made him known as a "media criminal." Dahmer was discharged under an army regulation concerning alcohol and drug abuse. He was arrested at the Wisconsin State Fair for drunk and disorderly conduct and was fined $50. (Maamodt). Around June 1987 Dahmer picked up 25-year-old white male, Steven Tourmi, at a gay bar called Club 219. They went to the Ambassador Hotel, got drunk and passed out. When Dahmer awoke, he said Tourmi was dead and blood was coming out of his mouth. Dahmer stated he could not remember the previous night’s events. Dahmer bought a suitcase and put the corpse in it. He returned to his grandmother’s basement where he had sex with the corpse, masturbated on it, and sliced the flesh off of it. He then proceeded to dismember the remains, put them into plastic bags, and throw them away. (Maamodt). This has revealed that parental upbringing is of core importance in a child's development of social skills.
