For the classroom observation assignment I was able to observe at Stepping Stones Family Childcare and Preschool Program. I conducted observations for five hours each on the dates of September 24th and September 25th of the year 2015. This licensed home-based daycare and preschool program is located in a quiet suburban neighborhood on 4103 Bryant Street, Blasdell, New York. The facility allows for a twelve-child capacity (ages 6 weeks to 12 years with four additional school age) and is owned and founded by Kim Bannister. When I observed, there were two additional staff present. Therefore, there were a total of 3 adults and 12 children at the center when I observed. New York State Senator Marc C. Panepinto was also present on September 25th as he read to the children and toured the home. I chose this specific setting as I personally thought it would be an interesting dynamic to study how a home-based preschool program is run.
The novel I read the first semester was Shift by Jennifer Bradbury. It was the story of a young male adult trying to uncover the truth about his best friend’s disappearance. By the end of the book, the main characters grew as individuals because they have discovered more about themselves and each other. The novel is mainly set in present day, Hurricane, West Virginia and then the story takes you through their bike trip to Seattle. Bradbury may have chosen this setting because of the theme of, friendships ending that she was exploring.
And finally, there is the issue of staff mismanagement. The supervisor, Keith Frazier, is only checking in with this department one to two times per week. Mr. Frazier is aware that Pat is making international phone calls. He is also aware that Pauline found a way for Pat to make these calls from the building’s elevator once he had the phone system modified to only allow internal calls. Mr. Frazier has also been fielding complaints from the accountants about not receiving their tax schedules in a timely fashion. However, he has failed to confront either of these issues. This lack of management can be attributed to the following:
The children have been put into five attainment based groups, each group has 6 children.
I visited in a School Age Care Center to take an interview with the supervisor of the school age care center to get the answer to my previous assignment’s (grade K-3) question, now I am providing all her answer related to my questions following in my writing.
Mission Control was unaware of this testing that occurred at the site. Mission Control had explained to S/O Visel that we don't have any personnel present during after hours and the site is being monitored remotely by Mission Control. Mission Control would like to know if this is a scheduled testing that will be conducted by University of Illinois randomly.
Staff Ratios: There is new guidance on staff ratio especially for child minders indicating maximum ratio of 1:5 but extendable to 1:6 in special circumstances.

Lakehaven recently played host to some of the most elite Louisville home inspection companies. The conference which also doubled as a media parley addressed many topical issues. One of the cardinal matters that were raised includes how to work with the various regulatory bodies. Most home inspection Louisville KY businesses emphasized that despite their affiliation with the various Home Inspection agencies; there was no conflict of interest. It was agreed that the status quo should be maintained while any grey areas would be addressed at another meeting which was scheduled for next year.

Throughout the years from the age of 3 years of age to five years, these may be seen as an exhilarating time for the children and their families. We aim to make the child’s time at the centre educational. The main thing Little Joeys is working towards in the year of 2016 are for them to become confident within themselves and develop their use of communication skills and have the readiness of being able to transition into school. The centres philosophy is coherent with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which is used with the educators interacting with the children.
Like other day care facilities, The Kids Learning Centre strives to provide the best in child care. As part of their program to
Ratio 's are in place as the well-being and safety of the children are paramount
For this project, I observed my mother's preschool class and the three children which she baby-sits on weekends. Most of the kids that are in the preschool class were three years old, but there was one five year old. The kids I helped baby-sit were two twin three year old girls, and one five year old.
The shops had limited documentation of inspection training for their staff, it is suggested that the Program find some way to better track these training courses. It is also recommended that the Program adopt a standard whereby before any employee completes an inspection, they are trained so that they are better equipped to identify hazards and offer positive feedback to the site.
