The issue of climate change has been widely debated by many across the nation. The lack of global action to lower greenhouse gas emissions could be harmful and dangerous in the future of this country. There are many important reasons as to why climate change must be dealt with now. The future of the United States of America is in jeopardy. That is why action should most definitely be taken to ensure a bright and successful future.

The effects of climate change can be catastrophic. If the United States lets these climate change problems fester, the future may be plagued by rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, drought, heat waves, more intense hurricanes, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, and other effects that may not

According to the report released by the EPA and the White House, making those necessary changes now could stop many deaths related to extreme heat and cold. Billions upon billions of dollars in adaptation costs would be saved by 2050, and even more by 2100. According to the New York Times, the administrator of the EPA, Gina McCarthy said, “The results are quite startling and very clear. It’s very clear that climate action now pays. It saves lives and cuts costs. These are really big numbers, and we can limit the losses if we act now.” If those necessary changes are made, the money that would have been used for adaptation for health, infrastructure, electricity, water resources, agriculture and forestry, and ecosystems could become savings.

Climate change is real. It is something that is affecting our world in ways we can’t even imagine. A change needs to be made. The effects of climate change are terrible and need to be prevented. Climate change will affect generations to come if action is not taken. It has been made clear that climate change must be taken care of now to ensure that America has a bright future. Dealing with this issue in the present would be a lot easier that trying to reverse all the damage in the future, no matter how costly the solution may
