The 45th president of the U.S., Donald Trump, was officially sworn in to office. Not a full week later, Trump is issuing an executive order to construct a controversial Mexican Border Wall that he vehemently emphasized during his campaign.

The bridge on Interstate 40 is on the exit route from Memphis, as well as Tennessee completely, as it separates the city and state from the state of Mississippi. There were over 1,000 protesters that day in Memphis that marched against the violence against black men and women and black children. While this march was considered peaceful, they put many officers in danger by shutting down traffic on a busy Interstate 40 bridge. The violence in Memphis stints from great racial strain in the community due to the amount of crime and black on black killings that lead officers into very dangerous situations.

I will be talking to you about President Trump’s executive order on building the Mexican border wall. The Mexican border wall is an executive order President Trump released stating that he is going to build a 2012 kilometer long wall sealing off the entire US-Mexican border. This is important because the construction of the wall will have many negative impacts on the world. The relationship humans and non-humans have is significant because they change the way one feels towards a certain space. The United States-Mexico border wall was proposed by Donald Trump at one of his rallies, assumingly as a way to get the crowd fired up, but he was serious. I don't believe that this is a good idea because it will do irreparable harm to both nations. This idea has many mixed reviews because I don't want the border shut down, I think it would be too expensive, and it will damage our international relations. This is why I believe that building the wall is a bad idea.
