The beginning of the book of The Gospel According to Matthew, describes the first early stages of Jesus, “Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way”(Matthew 1:18). Jesus is the child of Mary and the Holy Spirit. Once he was born, Herod over heard a rumor that baby Jesus would be the king of the Jews. Since, Herod heard Jesus escaped, he ordered all the young children in Bethlehem to be killed. Baby Jesus frightened King Herod. Jesus had to escape to Egypt until Herod died. As Jesus grew older the more enemies he had and the more people were frightened by his powers. The romans and the Jews attacked Jesus whenever they had the chance. (Matthew 27:17-18) The crowd started shouting out “Let him be crucified!” (Matthew 27:23). The crowd wanted to make Jesus suffer. The soldiers of the roman government acted and they put a crown with thorns on top of Jesus’s head. They also mocked and crucified him on the cross. At the same time, we should not ignore that the Jews and Romans acted with gods help. God had all of this planned for Jesus. At the beginning of the book, the lord said that Jesus would save his people from their sins. Jesus came for a mission and his mission was to save his people from their sins even if it included dying. Jesus knew that his time was close. He predicted that one of his twelve disciples to lead him to his death, Jesus said, “truly I tell you, one of you will betray me” (Matthew 26:21). Jesus also said to Peter, “truly I tell you this very night, before the cocks, you will deny me three times” (Matthew 26:34). Everything that Jesus predicted actually happened. Gods plan was to kill
