Sports are a glorious way to spend time and become buff. But not everyone can pick the sport that suits them more and then compare the sports with others. Only professionals like me can, for example sports like Jiu Jitsu and swimming are begging to be compared.
Most important when comparing sports factors such as which one is more exciting and filled with actions have a great impact on the choice of which sport to pick.
Essentially, though, we need to understand each sport, and its distinctive style. Jiu Jitsu is a martial sport used for self defence in perilous situations. The goal of this sport is to pin down your opponent, and either choke him or break bones. While in swimming you have to race other people in the water using different strokes such as free style, butterfly, and breaststroke. Jiu Jitsu is an action packed sport where behind every bend there are new moves, attacks, and defences. On the other hand, swimming is a peaceful sport with no physical contact, people with an

Jiu Jitsu overall is a safe sport if you and your partner are careful. While swimming is a completely safe sport, unless you are a midget. Jiu Jitsu and swimming are both relatively convenient sports, no special gear is required, only the place to perform like a gym or a swimming pool is essential. If you are the unlucky few who have a tight wallet, then the most inexpensive sport is swimming, even though both, Jiu Jitsu and Swimming, are relatively cheap.
Both sports differ slightly, mostly is the type of sport and physical qualities required. I know you will properly decide on the type of sport that fits directly to your style and fitness level. Countless sports are out there today, and many more waiting, begging to be explored and invented. So why are you sitting on the couch? Stand up, and become a healthy citizen of the world today, trust me you will become compelled to grow your physical
Sports influence how we dress, we wear t-shirts, jerseys, hats, proudly promoting our favorite sports teams or players. Sports influence our spending habits. They can influence our attitudes and ideas about what sports we ourselves want to play, what colleges we want to attend, etc. Sports also influence politics, which is evidenced today by the controversy with football players taking a knee during the national anthem. The evolution of sports has brought about many changes including minorities and women being able to participate in sports, the Olympics, and the correlation between health, physical fitness and athletics.
Sports are fun. Sports will allow you to work on becoming physically fit in many ways. Many sports share the same rules and are done some ways the same but normally each sport has there on ways on how that sport is played. Take a moment and see how football and baseball are two different sports but have the both have ways in common and how they are different as well.
Rian Bosse wrote an article about the positives of playing multiple sports. The thesis statement was hard to find, if it was even included. His main argument was that “in multiple sports you use the same things” (Bosse). He explains that using the same muscles could keep you healthy and keep you stronger, and he says that many students now are not playing multiple sports but should since they only have so little time. Bosse tries to say that more students should become student athletes who play multiple sports because some of them might not get another chance.
Many social factors directly or indirectly shape opinions and influence an individual’s decision to participate in physical activity. These factors change throughout an individual’s life. For example, some children start playing sport because it is fun; others may join a sporting group because their older brother or sister plays that sport. A new sporting complex may open nearby and provide a chance to try a new sport. Coaching clinics might inspire some people to give a sport a go. Teachers can provide both positive and negative sporting experiences.
Young children having major physical injuries while participating in sports should be of more concern. In the article High School Football Comes With a Risk, by Jeffrey Perkel it states that, “...boys aged 10 to 14 we’re most likely to end up in the nation’s emergency departments with a traumatic brain injury…,” This shows how adolescents are unnecessarily hurting themselves because of these sports. Expectedly, during the 2005-2006 US high school football season an , estimate of 517, 726 injuries were submitted to the RIO. Even my own personal experiences with sports all ended in tragic faults. Swimming with
In conclusion both of these of sports are both great and mean so much to me. I am so glad that I live in a country that allows me to do both of these. I am also both of these sports have people that go out and work every day to try and conserve the lakes and the wetlands that make both of these sports possible. The last thing these sports have in common is that they will be around for the next hundred years if we keep working and conversing like we are
Why Sport Matters Why does sport matter? Sport can do a lot of different things for everyone. It can provide entertainment, excitement, community, wonder, dreams and a good lifestyle. Throughout history, sport has had some incredible moments, especially in Australia and Australians. Moments like Steven Bradbury coming from last to first, Western Bulldogs against all the odds win the AFL Grand Final against the highly backed Sydney Swans.
Women and men play various sports because they as Americans want to experience the excitement of playing for fun, and doing something they love. The idea of what men and women can do for fun in sports has been shaped by the American society in many different ways through the media, schooling and education, and professional sports organizations. America portrays women playing field hockey and doing synchronized swimming while men do boxing, and body building. If a woman chooses to do boxing because to her it is fun and if a man chooses synchronized swimming because he likes it, they face many cultural costs and benefits of choosing this sport. Society does not like change and
Sports in conjunction with academics are capable of creating a balance that makes for a well rounded citizen and healthy, happy employee. Issues in the mix often come from the balance itself. Many students find themselves overcommitted to sport while others find they are not able to compete. I will examine issues in interscholastic and collegiate sport.
The first thing I 'd like to discuss is how these sports structure their fights. Both boxing and MMA are scored using a ten-point must system. This
Mark Hyman, author of Until It Hurts: America’s Obsession With Youth Sports and How It Harms Our Kids says, “There’s no evidence that kids who specialize in one sport are more likely to go pro or get a scholarship. None.” Hyman explains that there is no evidence of kids having more success if they specialize in one sport. Dr. Matt Matava, a sports-medicine specialist at Washington University in St. Louis also says that “you’re more likely to have success in most sports at the college level if you diversify while you’re growing up.” Matava says a similar thing- that people are more likely to have more success in sports if they try a variety of sports. Both quotes imply that people will not have a better life if they centralize on one sport- in fact, their lives may be worse. Focusing on a single sport- and putting himself/herself under pressure- is not a good thing to do, as these two people are trying to tell us. Success is important- not doing a lot of one sport. It won’t do much
But, one key difference between them is that no matter what sport you play, at
all cause you to make tough decisions that are to be made for each and every one of them. For example, good character is developed first by staying out of trouble. Making one bad choice can affect you on the long run. As it says in the website Debate, “I definitely think sports keep teenagers out of trouble.”, (baker 1). When teens participate in a sport it affects them a lot, it impacts them into becoming better people and helps their character as well. They need that type of attitude to change how they act and also how they are in their everyday lives and also their everyday routine. Once this happens and they actually join a sport they start to have better attitudes and also start having a good mood towards people, teachers, coaches, parents, brothers, sisters, ect. When in a sport, it makes you have a different mentality, you start to think differently in a good way of course. Bad choices turn into bad and good choices turn into good, you start to see reality.
Sport plays a huge role in today’s society. It contributes to one’s health and fitness, social interaction, social and motor skills, patriotism, fun and entertainment. It also stimulates the economy and tourism leading to interaction between different cultures, for example the Olympics, and sport role models. Sports clearly are an important part of cultures and societies around the world as such events as the Olympics
Swimming is also a valuable tool outside competition and recreation. Knowing how to swim can me survival in emergencies. Swimming can also aid in physical therapy and is a general exercise. Many muscles in the body are utilized.
