Joanne Rowling is an extremely influential person, and is admired by many people. I chose to write about her because she is one of my favorite authors, and she has a very interesting life. She was born on July 31, 1965, and lived with her mom, dad, and sister, Dianne. Rowling grew up surrounded by books, as her parents loves to read. “I lived for books… I was your basic common-or-garden bookworm, complete with freckles and National Health Spectacles” (harrypotter.bloomsbury.com). Somehow, the Mt. Everest of notes turned into an award winning book. Although several publishers reject the book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher 's Stone was published on 30 June 1997 (harrypotter.bloomsbury.com). The books have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim, and commercial success worldwide. “Nothings impossible if you’ve got enough nerve.” -J.K Rowling (BrainyQuote.com). Many people know that Rowling does not have a middle name. J.K Rowling is simply her pen name. Rowling adds the “K” from her deceased grandmother, Kathleen to make her pen name, J.K Rowling.
The Harry Potter books are much more than just children’s books. In fact, the inspiration for the books are quite dark. One of them is the death of her
