…are interested in other people’s ideas and so are willing to read and listen attentively, even when they tend to disagree with the other person. 5 This characteristic was scored the highest. It is due to Joe Biden. When it comes to Joe Biden, I am interested in his ideas and so am willing to read and listen attentively, even though I tend to disagree with his views. I watch him when ever he comes out on T.V. I suddenly get very interested when he talks about government regulations, So, I researched several videos and read some books on his government views. During lunch, I had several conversations with my friends about him. Ultimately, I realized that he isn't as bad as I thought he was. He actually tries try to do some good stuff for our country. Even though I tend to disagree with him at times, I do respect him and willing to listen to his views. …show more content…
1 This characteristic was scored the lowest because many people think that the UT affirmative action (bake sale) strike (led by Young Conservatives of Texas) was done to encourage racism. I don't recognize that this extreme view is seldom correct (whether conservative or liberal), so I don't avoid them, don’t practice fair mindedness and don't see a reasoned view by ignoring what other people have to say about the UT affirmative action (bake sale) strike. Therefore, I thought only my way. I didn't think they were racist at all. Furthermore, I thought they were just doing this bake sale just to raise money for their
In Richard Linklater’s 2011 comedy, Bernie, played by Jack Black, Jack Black, plays the character of Bernie Tiede in Richard Linklater's comedy. He plays a small-town assistant funeral director who murders his wealthy widowed companion Ms. Nugent, played by Shirley MacLaine. In my opinion Bernie is guilty. He was knowledgeable of the process of preserving a dead body and easily can access the items necessary to cover up a murder, plus the events immediately prior and proceeding make the murder look premeditated, from hiding the body to lying to the family of widow Ms.Nugent.
The one I identified with the most was the tenth characteristic in which Lake and Baeyer talked about time management. I find that this attribute is valuable to me because of how I have used it in the past. Managing
Some of my characteristics are my intelligence and my talent. I have the ability to quickly catch up to things. I have taken honers this year and have been recommended for algebra I honors next year by my teacher.I have mostly A’s and B’s. I also represented the Majestics in the geography bee. In history we had a debate and I got MVP.
Listening, 2. Determination, 3. Goal setting, 4. Management and leadership of people, 5. Ability to get along with diverse groups (Bethel University, 2014). I think that Number 1 is one of my better qualities, I truly like to learn and I also like to help others and the best way to do that is to listen to what is being said. My Dad use to say, “you can’t learn anything if you are talking, you have to remain quiet and listen” (W.A. Buckner, np, no #). Number 2, has never been an issue for me, I have been and always will be determined to better myself and hopefully others. Number 3, is one thing that I have done my entire life and work diligently to achieve any goal I set for myself. Number 4, I have been to many leadership schools in the Army as well as supervisor schools within law enforcement and think that I have a good grasp of what is necessary to be an effective leader, which I personally believe is more important than just being a manager. Leaders set the example and will work alongside their subordinates to accomplish a task, whereas a manager will merely direct others to complete the task. Lastly number 5, again goes back to my life experience within the military and law enforcement, which hones ones skills to effectively work with all nationalities and races for the betterment of

I am a person who is independent. I don’t rely on anyone but myself to achieve my goals. I let my own motivation push me to where I want to be in life. I love to be active in any way I can. For example, I was a three-sport athlete throughout high school. Most of my time is spend either mountain biking, hiking or playing sports. Another characteristic of myself would have to be awkward. This comes from the way I perceive life, lacking the social
Several presidents with this personality include Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy. Another personality is active-negative and presidents with this personality show loads amount of energy but end up with little joy from all the hard work, seem ambitious, striving upward, and seek power. Some negatives to this personality include trying to make up for something or to escape from anxiety into hard work, and have a very vague self image. Several presidents with this personality include John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, and Herbert Hoover. The third personality is passive-positive, presidents with this personality show traits like superficially optimism and is always in search of affection as a reward for being agreeable and cooperative. A couple negative traits include being easily manipulated, low self-esteem is overcome by ingratiating personality, and their dependence and the fragility of their hopes and enjoyments make disappointment in politics likely. James Madison, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton all have
One of them being conscientiousness. Conscientious people are very driven and orderly. They set goals and firm plans to achieve these goals. Rarely are they spontaneous or disorganized. My score within the Big Five Personality Profile was moderate for conscientiousness. I would say that I do exhibit some of these characteristics. I can be very organized and reliable. As a weakness, I find that I am not always a self-starter. I will set goals and stick to them, but need that push from others to get started. For instance, I was given the opportunity to work on an exciting new project at work that involves direct feedback from employees that I would personally deliver to upper management. This would be a big responsibility as I would be representing hundreds of employees and voice the current concerns of our group. I was asked to think it over. While processing the position, three others volunteered and I lost out of the opportunity. I took my time and wasn’t as organized in my decision making, therefore I missed out greatly.
able to respond constructively to a wide variety of people, ideas and different ways of thinking
The first trait that I have chosen is ability to communicate. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, communication is something that I have come to appreciate as an important trait for a leader. This realization was further reinforced during my experience working as part of a team in one of my workplaces. I was once part of a team that was involved in coming up with a community outreach program in our workplace as part of the company’s corporate
Another characteristic of my personality is care. Despite my ever-present introversion, I have always harbored a deep care for most people. Early in my childhood, my parents taught the importance of caring for others. Throughout my life, I have always put others before myself. Sometimes I do this out of genuine care for the other party, but other times, I find myself doing this so the other

A second characteristic is the aversion to depending on others. I have found that in group projects, I would much rather complete all the work instead of relying on others to contribute because I know that it will be completed correctly and satisfactory. Again, regarding to living with roommates, as frustrating as it can be to be the only one cleaning and making sure the apartment is somewhat presentable, I believe that it is the only way that it will be done properly and to my standard.
