Joe's Descriptive Writing

It has been six very long days, I cannot wait any longer for the chapter to be uploaded, I am both excited and exhausted. The days usually pass me by finding new short stories to read, which for the most part lasts a day or more. Then I am back to finding new stories and I always find some good ones, because of the several genres that are on the website. The website is called Wattpad. It is where my favorite writer can make his talent shine. The website is where the youngsters and college students get their best drafts up on the website for the readers to enjoy and as the time passes the writers grow into their best version of themselves in the writing department. The writers are mostly college students and High Schoolers that have a love for writing. The books have many genres but my interest will always be in the romance books. The romance genre is popular since it's mostly teenagers that are acquainted with Wattpad. Even though the romance books can get a little repetitive I love how the plots are always twisted to the author's liking. The books are rarely complete mostly, because of the authors' lifestyle, whether they have too much to do in school or their interest goes to another story they have been writing. The incompleteness irks me since that means I would not know what is going to happen. I try to stay away from the unfinished tales, nevertheless, I end up with one in my reading list anyway. If you walk into the Wisconsin Candy Company Building, you’re likely to be assaulted by the smell of coffee beans from Ground Zero Café or empanadas from El Dorado Grill. The outside of the brick building boasts “Madison Candy Co.” in big block letters, one of the few outward hints as to the building’s long history, while a walk inside the building and down the hallway, dark floorboards creaking under your feet, provides a deeper look into the building’s history. Framed black-and-white pictures line the walls, and for a moment you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Sam’s Deli was wide and large with dim lighting. The walls decorated with posters of NY City in the 1930’s and its tables were wood stools with comfortable chairs. To the left was a bar and had boots seating on the other side of the counter, and a row of finely dried meats hung from above the booths and added to the aroma. All conversations were kept secret as the load crowed laughed and enjoyed the atmosphere. Adam had eaten there a few times during his first year enrolled in a CUNY collage down the block.

This street, quiet and empty the night before, turns into a bustling, crowded street, overnight. As I cross the street, the 3 large brick and academic buildings catch my eye. On the far left is McCleary Student Center. It’s large shiny front glass window glistens in the sunlight, reflecting the image of the landscaping just outside. Outside, luscious green bushes and prestigiously maintained grass connect the ever-so-modern campus with the wonders of nature. Directly inside, Price Auditorium, with its grand jet black stage, and maroon upholstered stadium seating, acts as a central meeting spot for the school, and brings together the Severn community on a daily basis. In the time I've been in high school, the spectacle which is Price Auditorium, seems so much more important. It is here in which intriguing ideas are shared, and paramount issues are thoroughly discussed. As I exit price, I follow the scent of hot food up the speckled tile stairs leading up to to the cafeteria. Inside, I can pinpoint the table I always sat at in middle school, with a refreshing view out the back window, where you can catch a glimpse of the river, just beyond the tree line. When we sat down at our booth it took about a minute to be asked our beverages. I got water and so did everyone else. When we saw the menu we were impressed by how many things were on it.
