John Sutter was a Mexican citizen who had made a big name for himself and absolutely a whole bunch of money before the discovery of gold. John Sutter was an immigrant from Switzerland. He was born on 15, 1803 in Kandern ,Baden not too far from the swiss border. As a newcomer to a firm of printers and booksellers, he found out that he wasn't interested in paper business. While clerking in a draper's shop, he met his future wife Annette D’ Beld . Both of them married on October 24,1826. Due to business problems he left his family and four children in Germany to have good fortune in America at the age of 30. After that significant day, of gold being discovered John Sutter legacy began to collapse. His road to success, the big blowout to his demise
John Fremont was a hard working soldier and later became a Union general in the Civil War. He signed the Treaty of Cahuenga, which ended the Mexican-American war in most of California. After the war, he served as the territorial governor of Arizona from 1817 to 1887. At later time he was one of California's first senators.
He was a captain in Stephen F. Austin's volunteer army. He fought in many wars one of the more famous one being the Battle of the Alamo. He was going to fight but William B. Travis sent him to carry a letter to Sam Houston for troops, but Houston did not bring troops and made Juan stay with him. Even though he did not fight in the Alamo he still went back and buried the remains of the people who died to honor their bravery. After he had to stay back he helped fight in the Battle of San Jacinto to earn Texas Its independence. He was one of Sam Houston's chief scouts. He accepted Mexico's surrender of San Antonio on June 4, 1836. He had fought for both Mexico and Texas for many wars But he still favors Texas. After he fought for Mexico in the Mexican War, he returned to Texas despite the consequences where he settled on land adjacent of his

James Bridger was born to loving parents on March 17, 1804. He was born the son of an innkeeper who loved him dearly. In 1820 Bridger explored the west numerous times. He was the first white man recorded to ever see the amazing Great Salt Lake. During his adventurous life he was a hunter, trapper, Indian fighter, and a guide. At age 13 he was a daring blacksmith apprentice. While he was an apprentice, he learned to handle dangerous machinery, wild horses, and wonderful guns. Since Jim Bridger was shrewd, honest, and brave. He married three times to Native American women. He was outlived all of his three beautiful wives. Bridger sold his beloved Fort Bridger to the Mormons for $8,000. Later as his life went on he was a guide for the U.S forces

Christopher Columbus and John Smith will always be remembered for their ego in their leadership. For many residence of Virginia, John Smith is considered as a hero. However, recorded documents provide varying evidence on his leadership and life in general. On the other hand, Christopher Columbus is seen as an explorer who encountered the Americans and was able to achieve immorality to satisfy his egos. He took advantage of every opportunity and is considered to be a leader who did not accept no as an answer which enable him to succeed and even come back to influence after a great misfortune. It is however clear that the success of Smith and Columbus as leaders of exploration can be attributed to their egos. Their writings were full of imaginations and fiction and are considered by some historians to be liars about the newly discovered world.

In this essay, I will discuss Ancient Egyptian art works from the Old Kingdom. The Old Kingdom, the first of these periods, was the strongest in terms of the centralization of the government. “During the Old Kingdom sculptors created the earliest portraits of individuals and the first life size statutes in wood, copper, and stone” (Heilbrunn). I will examine a double portrait “The Royal Acquaintances Memi and Sabu” from the fourth dynasty. Memi and his Wife Sabu symbolize royalty.

Many immigrants had come to America looking for jobs that can support their family, but many such as Mexican farm workers had struggled in the time.
