John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th President of United States, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29, 1917. His father, Joseph Kennedy Sr., was a wealthy investor who wanted his sons to be important figures in American politics. Joseph Kennedy Sr. always favored his oldest son, Joseph Jr., to achieve his family's long time ambition to become a President of the United States. However, his eyes turned to John, after Joseph was killed in battle during World War II. John knew he was going to be the replacement for his brother; only way to make his father happy was to become an important figure in American politics. In November of 1946, JFK was elected to the House of Representatives from the State of Massachusetts. He served in the
Through out the course of history, America has seen great Presidents. These men all exhibited characteristics which helped them to be successful in their endeavor to become the nations leader. Among those characteristics are traits such as being a good spokesperson or leader and being fair towards all which makes for a good President.
If I were to choose a figure in the government who I admire the most, that person would be Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. Ever since I began to take an interest in politics, I always leaned towards the conservative side of the spectrum but everyone else around me identified as a liberal. As an African-American male, it is hard to come out as a black republican, especially when you attend a Historically Black College. For the last couple of decades, the black community has tended to vote Democrat and when they see one of their own come out as a republican, they reject that person and instantly decry them. So many blacks who do share conservative views choose not to come out as republican, partly because of the backlash they expect to face. However, this is not the case of Senator Tim Scott. I look up to
On the issues, Ted Cruz holds many unique positions, often stirring controversy amongst Democrats and fellow Republicans alike. Ted Cruz identifies strongly with the Tea Party Movement, leaning to the far right on many social, domestic and international issues. He particularly emphasizes his bold stances on issues like fighting ISIS, reducing taxes, and lifting regulations on business. However, one area that Cruz is especially passionate about is the many social issues that are debated by American citizens. On gay marriage, Cruz has maintained that he as a believer in traditional marriage between a man and a woman. He sponsored and passed a bill in the United States Senate to leave the decision of marriage to individual state legislatures.
Paulsen’s Stance: Access to a high-quality education is critical to developing the next generation of American leaders, so we must give our children the best possible educational
The Kelly Ayotte campaign was a well-run organization and played a large role in getting the New Hampshire citizens to the voting booth. I was honored to serve with such great people from who came to New Hampshire from all over the country. These people like myself, wanted to hopefully help Kelly Ayotte get re-elected to the senate. The campaign headquarters was based out of a first floor office, located in the Brady Sullivan Tower in Manchester. I was a man of many tasks, and tried to help where I was needed depending on the day. I volunteered in the office and was out in the field, knocking door to door. My job was incredibly important because going into the start of my service I knew the senate race was going to be extremely close, the closest Senate race in the country for that matter. As we observed, the race was extremely close and unfortunately my candidate lost three weeks ago. Although, it was not the outcome we were looking for, I have a couple of theories of why we may have lost by only eight hundred votes. If more un-educated voters exercised their right to vote, the outcome could have possibly been different. Whether we like it or not, most of the citizens in Manchester New Hampshire are not as well versed on public issues and candidates. However, towns including Bedford and Merrimack were very well versed. Towns including Bedford take election cycles more seriously and in my eyes seemed more educated on the issues. The experience volunteering on the Kelly
Kourtney Kardashian is making sure that Scott Disick handles himself the right way since getting home from rehab. Now she is saying that he has to make sure he doesn't miss their son Mason's birthday party. Radar Online explained that Scott is being told he better not miss it, but this is because he was a no-show for their daughter Penelope's birthday and Kourtney doesn't want this to happen again. Kourtney expects Scott to have his act together, especially when it comes to the kids.
Although it is often said that the President of the United States holds the most powerful office in the world, this does not mean that he is able to decide very much for himself. The American Constitution, which was adapted in 1789, clearly states the Separation of Powers. Thus, the president makes up only one third of the government, namely the executive branch. He is also controlled by a complex system of checks and balances, which makes sure that he (or any of the other branches, for that matter) does not become too powerful. We will now have a look at the different problems which may be facing a recently elected president, and then discuss to what extent his powers are important.

Clearly Mike Huckabee's supports the government involvement in addressing obesity issues, and Steve King's does not. Starting with Mike we could notice that he supports, agree and is concerned about this initiative.“ we recognize that we have a serious obesity crisis – which we do./That's serious.” On the other hand Steve King's oppose this view, he even qualified this initiative as a "misguided nanny" ,he recognizes the importance of a healthy nutrition, but he refuses the idea of a government that enforce this laws to every single child ,even questioning the way parents rise their child in relation to what is good or not for their children. "The goal of the school lunch program was - and is - to ensure students receive enough nutrition to

Because of those who had preceded him in The Oval Office, he understood the importance of being the Commander in Chief. In all of the events that happened during his presidency he never gave up on his country (Biography; Gale: Vol 21).
