Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel was a novel that went through many different decades of lifetimes, going back and forth as to what time period. Along with, portraying life before and after the widely spread Georgia flu, but also showing the great and not so great aspects of society. Additionally, with life and what everyone can do in the time of need. “A novel of art, memory, and ambition, Station Eleven tells a story about the relationships that sustain us, the ephemeral nature of fame, and the beauty of the world as we know it.”(From Mandel) Station Eleven begins with the play “King Lear” preformed in Toronto by the famous actor Arther Leander who was 51 years old, while on stage Leander began to have a heart attack. A viewer named Jeevan Chaudhary also the paparazzi who has snapped pics of Leander before was attending the show.
