John Edgar Hoover plays an important role on what America is today because he created a various amount of advancements in criminal studies and helped generate new ways to keep Americans safe.

James Barbour is currently playing the role of the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera which is performed at Majestic Theatre in New York City. He has countless accomplishments including performing in eight Broadway shows and twelve films as well as winning three of the six awards he has been nominated for (Wikipedia Contributors). Although James Barbour sounds perfect on paper, he has a dark past.

Throughout the dawn of time, there have been thousands of authors and poets who have changed the way we read and write. There have been certains writers that have influenced more readers than others. There are many authors, poetry writers, and novelists around this world, but what make them into a famous author or writer? One of the famous American writer was John Steinbeck. He earned a Nobel prize of literature from his American classic novels that he had written in the past. The Nobel prize was not the only award that he had earned for his literature, he earned different awards for his writings also (John Stein..). John Steinbeck is a man who had overcome different obstacles and being successful in life.

The parts in which he was critisizing the mind set of americans, both civillian and legislators, were particularly well written. I felt that those parts were much more persuasive and almost instantly won me over, as opposed to his writings on the miltary actions which I feel given a little more to them would have also instantly won me. His deconstructions of the American mindset and what kind of decision making it can lead to made a lot of sense. In particular his arguments on the overall lack of realism that is heavily present in the policy making in the nation made a lot of

John Lennon’s life as a Beatle began when he was 20 years old, and even though the band may have broken up, his love for music never died. Along with being a music lover, he was a large peace-activist. Not only him, but also his wife, Yoko Ono. Together they traveled the world, going to different places and spreading their voices and opinions, trying to be heard, and trying to change the way society looked at things. Throughout John Lennon’s career, he and Ono dedicated a large portion of their time to being anti-war activists, as well as influencing this ideal on the youth. Overall, John Lennon was a peace activist through his musical career and used his fame to draw attention to his beliefs.

He loved writing from a young age and knew he wanted to pursue that; “attending Stanford University, he took courses in English and marine biology but left without completing his degree, having made the decision” (“John Steinbeck” 1). His first few books were not very successful, but that did not stop him. His best-known novel was Of Mice and Men (Written in 1937) was not as popular in his time as it is now. His work is highly respected in the Literature world and still studied to this day. “He was awarded the Pulitzer Price for The Grapes of Wrath, and in 1962 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature” (“John Steinbeck” 1). Overall his work was very successful and he had a huge impact on Americans and an even bigger impact on the American voice.

In the hit book, The Pelican Brief, John Grisham's depiction of lawyers who will do anything for money and their clients presents an interesting ethical dilemma. In the book, two Supreme Court justices are killed by a hired assassin, Khamel. FBI, CIA, and the press are working hard to find who the killer is. The only people who know the truth are attorneys from White and Blazevich, Nathaniel Jones (also known as Einstein), Jarreld Schwabe, Marty Velmano, and F. Sims Wakefield and their client, Victor Mattiece.

Edgar Allan Poe is widely regarded as one of literature’s pioneers for the horror and crime genre. His influence has inspired countless writers, including Stephen King, to follow the path of this genre he so thoughtfully initiated.. In much of Poe’s works, readers will also see considerable amounts of perversion in the narrators that can be off-putting, yet add interest to the story line, as these episodes are not seen in everyday life. Poe’s work is greatly acclaimed for its use of what is known as an unreliable narrator in stories such as The Black Cat and The Tale-Tell Heart. In addition, the circumstances of their upbringing allowed them the opportunity to have their parents instill a great work ethic into them as children, which would influence their success in adulthood. The author shows through the analysis and realization that many of the Jewish lawyers that became prominent through this law were sons of business owners. Gladwell ultimately uses this chapter to display how truly attainable success can be if the opportunities to work toward success are taken, and also how success is created out of a long process, and many times, people will, “prematurely write off [others] as

John Grisham has influenced many people to begin writing mystery novels. John Grisham was born in Arkansas in 1955. He married Renee Jones and was the son of a construction worker and a homemaker. John has two children by the name of Ty and Shea. John had received nearly thirty rejections by publishers before his first book was accepted by Wynwood Press. John was “called to the bar” and became a lawyer. He then became the publisher of the Oxford American. He had a passion for baseball and to coach little league baseball. He preferred to watch college and school sports games rather than the professionals. He enjoyed fishing and horseback riding with his kids, along with taking long walks on the beach with his wife.
