Johnny, a small Greaser, stabbed Bob, a large Soc, after Bob and his group were harassing and attacking him and his friend Ponyboy. Bob and his group of five were harassing them from the beginning because Johnny and Ponyboy stole their girls. During this fight, David, a large Soc, was drowning Ponyboy in a fountain. Meanwhile, Bob and his other group members were attacking Johnny. Johnny is justified in what he did and is not guilty because he was defending himself. The boys were being harassed from the beginning, and the group had attacked him before. Johnny is not guilty because he was defending himself. After Johnny killed Bob, he stated “I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might have killed you. And they had a blade… they were
The murder of Bob Shelton occurred because earlier that night Johnny Cade and his friends had been flirting with Bob’s and the Socs’ girlfriends. Bob and four of his friends confronted Johnny Cade and Ponyboy Curtis early the next morning around 2:00 am at a park fountain. David, one of the Socs, began to drown Ponyboy Curtis in the fountain. Johnny Cade lost all sanity and knifed Bob Shelton, who was doing no harm to Cade or Curtis, in order to stop David from drowning Ponyboy Curtis. Johnny is not justified in what he did and is guilty because he carried a switchblade with intent to kill whoever jumped him, killed a person who was not attacking his friend, and lastly, fled the scene of the crime with his friend.
Johnny Cade should be charged with Voluntary Manslaughter towards Bob Sheldon. In this night Mr. Cade stabbed Mr. Sheldon to death mercilessly. After Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade were walking with Sherri Valance and her friend Marcia. Bob and Randy saw that they were walking with their girlfriends and they became upset, but peacefully took them in their car. Ponyboy and Johnny returned to the park and fell asleep. When Ponyboy returned home his brother became mad and roughly smacked him across the face with the back of his hand. Feeling betrayed Ponyboy returned to the lot with Johnny and they ran away. They relaxed and came to the park to talk. Mr. Sheldon and Randy approached with friends and expressed their anger with Ponyboy and Johnny. Ponyboy retaliated calling the peaceful Bob and Randy “White trash”. Naturally, being angered by this response Bob and Randy chased Ponyboy and Johnny around a bit
My argument is that Johnny is innocent. My argument are going to be strong. My argument is going to talk about how Johnny had to kill Bob to order to save pony boy.
I wore a pot on my head. I'm John Chapman, but better known as Johnny Appleseed! I was born on September 26, 1774 in good ole' Leominster, Massachusetts. My father Is Nathaniel Chapman and Elizabeth Chapman was my mother. My mom died in childbirth with one of my brothers sadly. My father remaried after to Lucy Cooley. I had a total of 10 brothers and sisters growing up. I liked playing outside as a boy and I would climb trees. I grew to love the outdoors. I later on was an orchardist and nurseryman. I left my home as a young adult to travel the Midwestern part of America! I ventured into the wilderness without any shoes on, a satchel, and a pot on my head. I traveled widely planting apple trees. Apples actually saved my life in a hard winter.
‘I had to. They were drowning you Pony. They might have killed you.’” (The Outsiders pg 57) While it is true that Johnny did kill someone, which is seen as a bad thing to do, he did it in his own self-defense and to save Ponyboy’s life.
There are children and athletes around the world that are involved with the sport of baseball with the Dominican Republic and the United States being some of the main countries. At young ages children and parents are wanting their kid to be better than any of the other kids that are in their age group. This is one of the reasons of why Tommy John has become a huge issue in athletes. In a fox sports news article, the writer talks about how he has heard parents wanting their kid to get the surgery just because they aren’t as grown as the other children. “Well he is not hurt, but he’s not developing as quickly as the other kids”. This is a terrible thing because the parent is teaching the kid that hard work is not important to become better and
For the past 200 years in the United States, there have been a myriad of legends, folktales, and stories concerning the american icon Johnny Appleseed; some of which extol his honorable kindhearted nature, love for the wilderness, and Christian beliefs, and others that unveil possible pedophiliac tendencies and love for hard cider. His unique story of spreading and planting apple seeds from state to state has been told and retold to appear either as a heroic act of environmental preservation and improvement or as a trait of a true entrepreneur. And though he is often described to have a disheveled physical demeanor, such appearance has been somehow skewed to support his connection to the untouched wilderness and his life of few to no excess
But for johnny he had no other option it was either save ponyboy or let the socs drown him. Bob had no idea his life would end so fast in the blink of an eye it was either him or pony he had to choose one risking someone else's life to save another ,and ending up turning into a fatal accident johnny would never imagine of hurting anyone.
This occurs after Bob is lying on the pavement, bleeding. Here, Johnny uses the pronoun I instead of we, meaning that he was the sole participant in the assassination. Meanwhile, the Socs were ganging up on them, leaving Ponyboy indisposed. Johnny, not Ponyboy, was the one carrying the knife that killed Bob. Ultimately, Ponyboy is innocent because it was Johnny who stabbed Bob.
John Titor claimed that he came from 2036, a time traveler. He also claimed that he saw Teresa Teng and Elvis Presley’s concert. During the year between 2000 and 2001 he posted the pictures about his time travel and many ambiguity predictions online according to the overview from his era in 2036. John tutor’s identity is still a mystery but his posts are leading conjectures and refutations to the people over the internet.
First of all, Johnny was justified in killing Bob. It was in self-defense, the Socs beat up Johnny before traumatizing him, and the only reason why Johnny had his switchblade was because of the same Socs who tried to kill Ponyboy. “The Socs caught my arm and twisted it behind my back, and shoved my face into the
“ ‘I killed him, he said slowly. I killed that boy’. Bob the handsome soc was lying there in the moonlight.” (p.56) This showed that Johnny could gather up courage to make his own decisions and kill someone.
“Then I saw Johnny. ‘I killed him,’ he said slowly. ‘I killed that boy.’ Bob, the handsome Soc, was lying there in the moonlight, doubled up and still.”(PDF 49). This quote supports the opinion that this is wrong because Johnny is admitting that he killed Bob the soc, without saying it is out of self defence or any other reason. He is admitting to a crime he was said to have committed. This quote proves that he is guilty for murdering Bob the soc. However, though this may be true, Johnny is innocent from the crime of murdering Bob because he was protecting his 3rd party. “I fought again desperately but only sucked in water. I'm drowning, I thought, they've gone too far... A red haze filled my mind and I slowly relaxed. The next thing I knew I was lying on the pavement beside the fountain…‘I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might have killed you.’ ”(PDF 49+50). This provides support that Johnny is innocent because it shows how Ponyboy was drowning and was in the moment of dying. It didn’t leave Johnny an option but to help Ponyboy. If he hadn’t helped him, Ponyboy would have died and Johnny would have to fight against all of the socs attacking
Claim: However, Johnny still can be considered innocent of murder because he killed Bob out of self defense, he had to defend Ponyboy, and the Socs were the ones who provoked the fight.
He shoved Ponyboy’s head in the fountain which made Ponyboy was suffocating and almost dead. Eventually, Johnny worried about Ponyboy’s life and stunk Bob to help. “I kill him,” he said slowly, “I killed that boy. ”(Hinton P56) From this quote, though Johnny wasn’t mean to do that.
