Over the last four years at Joliet West high school I have been involved in clubs and have also taken courses that are centered around my academy of human services. In the future I hope to utilize the knowledge and skills I have developed at Joliet West and pursue a career in social sciences where I can have a positive impact on my community.
My career plan is to go to college and study to pursue the fields of criminology, politics, the legal field, athletic training, and lobbying. Currently, I am undecided on what my future career will be, but I know that I would want to have a career in the social sciences because my goal is to have a career that would positively impact the community around me. These careers relate to my academy of human
Throughout my life I have participated in a variety of activities that have shaped who I am today. I believe that these life experiences, commitments and characteristics I have developed will be beneficial to the UW-La Crosse campus community.
A path that led to this school, and the amazing experiences and opportunities I had and will continue to have throughout my last year here. Here is the place I’ve learn to lead in a classroom, develop my academic skills, and succeed in continuing my mission of helping others. I’ve grown into a woman with her own ideals and own convictions, which I just now realized has always been my goal in life. What I major in, what job I have, and who I marry will not confine my person to live a life where having one experience is
I am a huge sports fan and baseball is my favorite sport and it would be a dream for me to become a major league baseball executive. Since this dream is a long shot another career that I was pondering on is becoming a civil rights activist, community organizer, or a parole officer. I am also considering a career in athletic training, as a backup plan since the medical field is a constant growing industry. My future goal in life is to have a career that will contribute to the greater good in society. Additionally, I hope to have a career that will be able to support me and my family in which the income would reflect the hard work that I have spent my entire life in preparing for a job in the
The final mast of school and community involvement was catalyzed when I joined Key Club as a freshman. Finding a passion for service and leadership, it rapidly became my primary focus in deepening my high school experience. Key Club inspired me to search for further opportunities for leadership and involvement, leading me to join Student Council, Relay for Life, and so forth. Through my various executive positions, I have not only improved my own character and qualities, but also inspired others around me to do the
I decide to strive toward the political science field. One of my first career goals is to receive a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Having a bachelor’s degree, I will emphasis in being a Legislative Field Representative and assists a government member with helping constituents with any issue involving city services and quality of life. I Also plan to pursue a master’s degree in Public Policy that will further my career, possibly be a diplomat in residence, providing guidance and advice on careers, and fellowships to students and professionals in the communities they serve.
My career plan has taken quite a few turns through the field of health care but I have found my niche where I really enjoy my job and the individuals I take care of. My short term career goal is to get my bachelor degree in health care administration and apply for a job as Q of the houses I work in now. This means I would take care of the mentally handicapped individuals that I take care now just in a different capacity. My long term career goal is to eventually be an administrator for the company I work for now. This means I would have to take the state and federal exams. Then I would be able to take care of multiple homes and have the Q’s under me as employees. Another long term career goal is to continue working on my education and to go for my master’s degree.
It is my goal in life that leaves a place in a better condition than when I found it. To accomplish my goal, I have done many community services not only at school but also at my community. One of my most appreciative works I have ever done was joining Fairmont Preparatory Academy Mentors or as my team usually calls it, FPA Mentors, which helps new international students engage in American culture. As a FPA Mentor, I helped international students surmount their cultural conflicts and get out of their comfort zone in their cultural cliques.
My experience in Keystone has shaped my academic achievement by giving me resources and the ability to meet others that are able to help me achieve more desirable grades. For college, I intend to shoot as well as getting my doctoral degree in the Radiology field at the University of Houston. My aspirations for the future is to get through college so that I can have a stable life to be able to one day have children and giving to those in poverty being that I want to be a helping hand with the children specifically in areas such as Africa and Asia. I plan to get involved with the Boys & Girls locally so I can ultimately change other children's lives and inspire them to be apart of something greater. This club that I'm now apart of is helping
During my undergraduate studies at Villanova University, I was able to give back to the community through participation in the school’s service and justice experiences. My first trip was to Laredo, TX with Habitat for Humanity. Working alongside the future homeowners was an incredibly rewarding experience. Hearing their stories and understanding how they connected with Habitat for Humanity was something I wish everyone could experience. When I returned to campus, I was excited to share my story and could not wait to continue to impact others through future trips and in my everyday life.
Attending college to attain my Bachelors degree in Political Science is just the first step in my journey. Throughout my whole life I have always known the career I wanted to pursue once I became of age. Every goal I ever set for myself was made to ensure that it would get me to that particular point in my life. The older I got, the wiser, I got. The wisdom I have gained through the years has made me question my lifelong goal. Is becoming a Corporate Attorney all I had to offer the world? And as you can see the top for me, was becoming an Attorney. I
Throughout my high school and college career, I have had the opportunity to be involved in a multitude of extracurricular programs that has made my educational experience extraordinary. The programs I was involved with at Boise High School include choir, basketball, sports medicine, National Honor Society of Sports Medicine and National Honor Society. Outside of school, I was an active volunteer in my community with the Idaho Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho, and the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho. I have continued this active involvement throughout my college education by getting involved in multiple programs at Idaho State University.
My positive impact on my community while in high school will be carried over to Louisiana State University. There is a club at LSU called LASAL which means Louisiana Service and Leadership Scholars. This program is dedicated to public service, social justice, and environmental
My biggest career aspiration is to one day be able to sit my parents down and say, “Mom, dad, you don’t have to work anymore. I can support you. You can sleep in and eat out and do whatever you want because I can support you now. You can retire.” I hope to achieve this goal by becoming a social worker or teacher depending on where life takes me. Becoming a social worker or a teacher allows me to work with my heart as well as my brain. It is a passion of mine to enhance and improve the lives of youth. I love interacting with children and knowing that I have the ability to influence and possibly change lives for the better fuels the fire in my
In the future I would love to work in the Human Services as a teacher some day in the future I hope long as I do good in high school and college and get what I need to do to get to what I want to get my career as then I better do what I need to do.
If you were to ask me a year ago about my future plans, I would have said that I just wanted to have a job working in the healthcare field. Now, after having gone through some classes, the idea I once had about my future career has changed. I still would like to work in healthcare to an extent but I want to become a lawyer and specialize in health law that way I can help those who cannot help themselves.
