“Jose Marti” by Roberto Fabelo
Nation's history and culture have definitely a great effect in the art conception in every country. The same way it has a bigger meaning and influence in people that share their traditions. I found really interesting how this empathy multiplies when people happen to be far from their homeland. This is why I chose “Jose Marti” by Roberto Fabelo for this report. “Fabelo”, as he is best known, is a painter, sculptor and illustrator, he was born in Cuba in 1951.
The first thing to notice in this piece is the use of fewer and sober colors, which combined with the cheerless expression of the main character, Jose Marti, gives the overall impression of sadness. It takes you to think: why is he sad ? After all, he is considered a hero by an entire country hundreds of years after his death, and his poetry has inspired several generations.

His forehead is packed with figures that might as well stand by the fact that he was a thinker, a visionary, a man that was able to unite the Cubans under a cause, a man that created a complete structure for what became a republic in arms to fight for the all Cubans. I think that the multiple representations of Cuban symbols and the painting itself is letting us know how the artist is expressing a part of his own personality, as this can be paired to the words of G.W.F.Hegel, a way to honor some sentiment of ourselves is honoring that same sentiment in others, finding some common ground with this character and stating stating it should definitely have been an enjoyable experience for the artist. The fact that this piece goes a little to the side of the artist usual artwork, might as well denote a need to go for a different idea to communicate, or a strong desire to put down a feeling in a specific
Flinder expected the merger to generate significant cost gains. RSE’s greater purchasing power would lower the cost of materials and components for FVC. RSE’s new resource-management system could be expected to reduce FVC’s in-process costs. Estimates from FVC’s accounting group had identified pretax constant-dollar cost savings of $2 million in the first year of operation and $4 million thereafter. He also recognized other synergy gains that arose from RSE’s stronger marketing clout, cross-selling with other RSE products, and its deep financial pockets. He believed that the widening-gyre project could have a broad application in nautical, aerospace, and automotive products. Based on the investment required to bring such technology to market, he estimated the economic
When thinking of New York City, more often than not, the first things one visualizes is the beautiful skyline, the bright lights, and Times Square. But without a second glance, one might miss one of the important things about the city. New York is the most heavily Dominican populated city in the United States. It’s ironic that the first non-native American to migrate to and reside on what is today New York City, was from Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Throughout history, Dominicans have migrated to the US in search of economic opportunity. This is the factor that influences nearly every immigrant group that migrates to the US in history. In the early 1900s, The United States and the Dominican Republic had a very close diplomatic relationship, to the point where the President considered annexation. At one point, the United States completely controlled the Sugar industry, one of the country’s most profitable markets.
Jose San Martin was one of the Latin American liberators. He was the leader of Argentina, Chile, and Peru as they revolted against the Spanish rule in the area. San Martin was a military ruler. He was born in 1778 and died in 1850. Chile attained its independence in 1818, Argentina, 1812 and Peru, 1821 (Fernandez 14). Most of his tactics involved boldness and patience along with military tactics. He lived at a time when most of the people in America who were well educated were Creoles. In fact, some of them had gone to Europe to further their studies. Despite being quite significant to the liberation of the Latin Americans, he was not always known historically. In fact, some people today call him the quiet Liberator because he did not always make himself known (Mayochi 2012)
Claudio Monteverdi is between the Renaissance and the Baroque period. Monteverdi is an epoch-making figure in the history of classical music. His creations are the culmination of this renaissance musical genre, and his opera creation is the foundation of this genre. Opera " L'Orfeo " is the first opera of Monteverdi's life creation, but also the most representative of his opera. The opera, which was completed in 1607 and succeeded in Mantua, is not the earliest opera, but the starting point of modern opera, the highest artistic achievement in early opera.
Artworks have played an indelible work to the lives of humanity. The creative nature in Artists is a complex matter to define. The uncertainties in the intrinsic nature in art lay difficult aspects that can only be answered by values, themes and skills depicted in an artist artwork. Apart from playing the intricate psychological effect on humans, the artworks have been used as a tool of expression that has been revered and uniquely preserved for future generation. Among some of the most revered modern forms of artwork has included Chicano Art that had a core relationship to Las Carpas, Indigenismo, rascuachismo and other forms of performance art.
In this paper, I will attempt to compare and contrast a western and non-western piece of art using the visual elements and the design principles I’ve learned this semester. I will also explain why I believe the western artist was influenced by non-western art and give a brief description of the artist and the culture that inspired them.
Las Meninas (after cleaning), 10 ft. 7 in. × 9 ft. ½ in. (3.23 × 2.76 m), in Museo del Prado, Madrid- Spain is an oil on canvas which is done by the main Baroque artist in the seventeenth century, counter-reformation, Diego Velázquez(1599–1660). This work is not just greeting for the artist’s genius as a painter, but at the same time is about the very specialty of painting. This Velázquez’s unqualified masterpiece is monumental which is painted on 1656. The complex works and composition raise questions about reality and illusion, however, this drawing has been one of the most widely analyzed works in western painting.
It's one thing to become the president of a company and another thing to develop a successful company. On numerous occasions, people hear stories about how investing companies lure other people into purchasing their goods and services. Moreover, these companies use false advertising often to exploit their customers. Most of the time, these companies state how they will spruce up a customer's investment repertoire and how it will make them rich. However, the results remain the contrary. To expound further, these companies have taken away too much money from their clients in order to produce a profit. However, business professionals such as James Dondero have used their expertise to reverse this trend.
I also chose the Reckoning with Mestizaje theme and your post have done a good job of explaining why this has artwork is also a good representation of the term Mestizaje. The picture shows the different cultures standing together in peace even though the things that brought them to the place they were at, at that particular moment was everything but peaceful. I believe that is what makes this painting so beautiful. The different cultures are standing together in harmony, perfectly demonstrating what the term Mestizaje means. The mixing of cultures was something that was forced on the native Latin American people but the mixing of cultures have led to many positive things. The different cultural groups working together have built Latin America
Orlando Furioso, the eternal Italian romantic epic poem, was composed by Ludovico Ariosto, between 1516 - 1532 and centres round the mad pursuit and unrequited love of Orlando for a pagan princess Angelica which transforms into frenzy and madness. On the other hand, Decameron is a compilation of hundred novellas composed by the renowned writer of the fourteenth century, Giovanni Boccaccio. The composition of the novellas began in the year 1350 and it ended somewhere during the years 1351 to 1353. The novellas contained all tragic and exotic love tales which widen the vista of love and its relationship in the life of mankind and civilization. Thus, both these literary pieces are effective to understand and delineate the difference between love and lust and the importance along with the origin of love in the life of human beings.

Over the years, Brazilian culture played an important role in Western civilization. In order to learn more about Brazilian culture up close, I had a chance to visit Histories: Contemporary Art from Brazil" and "Sandra Cinto: Chance and Necessity which is located at USF Contemporary Art Museum. The museum has some artworks done by an Brazilian artists whose approaches address the varied histories of Brazil, some collective, some individual, but all rooted in reflections on the country’s complicated past and present, and vast geographical, racial, and cultural wealth and diversity. I believe this visit is a rich experience for me about the value of art in providing culture and history differently. In other words,
The Latin American art is the combination of many countries artists work which are from South America, Mexico, Spain, Central America, the Caribbean and all other religions. The art has its roots in many different cultures. The Latin American art is also known as Latin American culture. Every painting in Latin American art has its own culture and religion that teach us and explain the reason behind every painting and also tells us about the artist who had painted. Most of the paintings that we had read about in the art class and saw are painted by Mexican or Spanish painters. My argument in this paper is that in the Latin American art the paintings are the one that are more attractive that make us to know about the religion and the story behind

1. For Marbella, chef Mauro Civiero created a Mediterranean cuisine menu where bread and pasta (carbohydrates) are only a part of the whole variety of ingredients that represent the gastronomic heritage of the Mediterranean geographical region. The magic encounter of several different cultures resulted in the Mediterranean cuisine, enriched and refined by the different communities and their culinary traditions that inhabited the "Mare Nostrum" shores during the centuries.
