Merrick. His siblings were William, John, and, Marian. Joseph Carey Merrick was born with deformities on his body, head, and even his hands. His parents said that it was caused by Mary being knocked down by an elephant at the fairgrounds while she was pregnant with Merrick. That was how Joseph Carey Merrick got his name that he is well known as, which is The Elephant Man. Merrick had a close relationship with his mother until she died when he was only eleven. The police closed down the “Elephant Man” exhibit. Joseph Merrick’s Manager sent him to tour in Europe where he was beaten, robbed, and abandoned. In 1886 Joseph had made his way back to London unable to speak. The police searched Merrick and found Fredrick Treves business card. Treves brought Merrick to the London Hospital. Fredrick Treves decided to admit Merrick for his physical condition. Francis Carr Gomm, supported Treves idea. Merrick’s condition had worsened over the past two years. The London Hospital was not equipped to take care of an “incurable patient” so Carr Gomm talked to other hospitals and institutions no one would take Merrick. Carr Gomm put a letter in the New York Times giving an outline of Joseph Carey Merrick’s life. In result of this letter the public gave much support. This support earned enough money to get Merrick a place to spend the rest of his life in the hospital under watch by the nurses and staff. Merrick’s case attracted many people. Many people visited Merrick in the hospital and continued to give funds. One important person out of the many that visited Merrick was the Princess of Wales Alexandra. Since Merrick had so many supporters he was able to fulfill all of his desires before he died. A few thing she got to do with the money from his supporters were going to the theatre and going on vacation many times in the country. Merrick spent a lot of his time writing poetry and building a church out of playing cards. Merrick stayed in the hospital most of the time. Over time Merrick’s condition slowly worsened over the four years that he was in the London Hospital. He got a lot of care from the staff and nurses. He spent much of his time in the living quarters or in bed because of his decreased energy. His head continued to grow larger and the deformities on his head grew larger. Joseph was five feet two inches when he died. Merrick wanted to be like others but knew that he

On December 3 Daniel Morgan reported to Greene's headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. At the start of the Revolution, Morgan, who had even fought in the French and Indian War, had served at the Siege of Boston. He was the colonists’ commander in this battle. Even though Morgan claimed to only have around 800 people on his side, other people have claimed that he had many more people than that. Morgan had a strategy. He would trick the British into thinking they had more power than they did. The plan worked perfectly. The British drove in strong lines, with knowledge of victory. But, American colonists slowly changed this battle to the favor of their side.
Joseph began his life as the favorite son of Jacob who tended to the flocks as a shepherd.3 These humble beginnings foreshadow how one day Joseph will tend to the Seed of the Woman during times of famine in the land by giving food to this eleven brothers. Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, had eleven other sons who were jealous of the special attention that Joseph received. In fact, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.4 Joseph had a dream that predicted that Joseph would one day reign over his older brothers. This upset his brothers and they tricked Joseph by selling him into slavery. Joseph was then taken to Egypt where he was sold to Potiphar and became a servant in

his past weekend in the Old Bailey courthouse (England 2016) Jack Merridew was tried on accounts of manslaughter. It all started when a group of schoolboys were flying out of London when their plane crashed on a deserted island. The boys were left alone for weeks with no supervision and by the time they were found and rescued two of the boys were killed along with another missing. The boys deceased were Simon and Piggy, and as for the missing child his name is unknown but he was simply known as the ‘mulberry birthmark child’. Many of the remaining boys were traumatized and severely impacted by the events on the island. This is where the DA decided charges against Jack

Morgan Jackson is someone I met within the first week of my freshman year (this was a feat in and of itself). I remember meeting her and wanting to be friends with her because she seemed smart-witted, friendly, and considerate; so I started to talk to her about biology and pre-med (because she is a biology major with a pre-med emphasis). She is one of those people who has their life together; she handles the balance between her extracurricular activities and academics impeccably. She has a 3.8 GPA and has a high class standing. For as long as I have known her, Morgan has always been involved in Lottie’s Hall Government. In fact, it was through Hall Government that we became good friends.
The story of Joseph in the Bible begins with explanations of Joseph’s youth and innocence and how his brothers were jealous of him because he was the “blessed son”. It involves a lot of specifics, like it mentions that Joseph was seventeen years
While Merrick, Chang and Eng are all physically disabled and stared at by others, Joseph’s life is more pathetic since he suffers more abuse than the twins do.
