How Dictators have Influenced the World
For example, Adolf Hitler’s reign was nearly 70 years ago, and yet his impact can still be felt today. Hitler’s influence on Germany was major, having inspired extremist views in many citizens. Even today, Germans are linked to Hitler and his actions, tainting the country’s history. In an effort to prevent further indictment of its people, Germany banned swastikas and other Nazi imagery (ADL.org, 2). Hitler’s long-lasting legacy has also affected many non-Germans including victims of the Holocaust and their families. When Hitler’s Holocaust orders were given, many people were forced to flee the country with nothing but the clothes on their backs. As a result, many died and an entire generation was raised

Stalin influenced the world of politics since the start of his reign in 1924. Stalin’s economic policy is believed to be one of the best models for poorer countries and many think that he single-handedly destroyed socialism. Most importantly, it is thought that Stalin “molded the features that characterized the Soviet regime” (Gale Staff, 5). His strict policy inspired many of the modern-day rulers in their grapple for power. However, his political impact is only a speck of dust compared to his other prominent actions. Stalin is most famous for the Great Purge, the execution of thousands of citizens due to his paranoia, and his military operations were one of the main causes for the rise of the Cold War. Like Hitler, many articles were written and numerous studies published about Stalin’s life and intentions. Today, his name is met with a mixed reaction. While some admire the way Stalin helped Russia regain its title, most often he is criticized for the harsher laws he placed on the people (Gale.org, 3). His visual reputation has also been quite influential. When he was alive, Stalin blurred out all of the scars from his childhood sickness in photos. He also walked with a limp that usually heavily concealed. For this reason, when people met Stalin they were often disappointed and left with a lesser opinion. Learning from his mistakes, modern executives often hide their flaws to ensure utmost
Iosif Dzhugashvili, more commonly known as “Joseph Stalin” or “the man of steel” was born in Gori Georgia, Russia on December 18, 1878. Stalin lived under the rule of Tsar Alexander II and Tsar Nicholas II (Joseph Stalin). Joseph Stalin’s dad was an alcoholic, while his mom was deeply religious. They were a poor family and Stalin was usually mistreated by his dad. It is believed this is why Stalin’s heart hardened and he became cruel and heartless (Ryan). Despite his modest background, he was destined to change the course of history. Joseph Stalin became the head of the Communist Party, ruled Russia as a totalitarian state, and was responsible for the deaths of millions
The vast majority of people regard Adolf Hitler as the worst human being of all time. This title is well deserved, as Hitler himself was responsible for starting a world war and killing over eleven million people. However, there was a dictator much more ruthless than Hitler. He ruled with an iron fist, and had an unquenchable thirst for power. He was responsible for almost double the amount of fatalities than even Hitler himself. This man was Joseph Stalin. The actions of Stalin during his early life, rise to power, and reign of terror are what molded him into one of the most despicable human beings in the history of civilization.
When people hear the name Joseph Stalin, they automatically associate it to a brutal and ruthless political dictator of the Soviet Union who managed to send more Russian to either their deaths or to forced labor camps than Hitler did with the Jews. Most individuals knew very little about Stalin’s early days, his rise to power, and his rule over the Soviet Union. Surprising as it may be, Joseph Stalin carried out much more than administer a violent and autocratic dictatorship. During his rule, he transformed the Soviet Union from an undeveloped, primitive, and a relatively economic backward nation that was trying to recuperate from the ramifications of the Russian Revolutions of 1917 into a military juggernaut that rivaled the United States
Joseph Stalin was the man who turned the Soviet Union into a global force at an unimaginable cost. Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (Joseph Stalin) was born on December 18, 1878 in a poor Russian village in Gori, Georgia. His father was Besarion Jughashvili, and his mother was Ketevan Geladze. At seven years old, he came down with smallpox, which left his left arm deformed and his face scarred. As a result, his classmates would tease him. This, in turn, made Stalin feel substandard, which made him feel he needed more respect. He also obtained a sharp streak of cold-heartedness for those who harmed him.
In the fifth grade I had to do a partner project, immediately I looked at my best friend, excited to work with her. But then the teacher said those words that every student hates. “I’ll pick your partners.” Slowly the teacher listed off who was working with who, than she came to my name. The name she called for me to work with was a name than I hated, a girl I never got along with. She was the smartest girl in the class though, I knew that if I wanted a good grade I would work with her, even though I wanted to work with my best friend. When in a time that we need to work together with someone, we don’t always get to work with who we want to work with. But the people we work with are the ones who give us the best outcome. Similarly, Joseph

Josef Stalin (formally Dzhugashvili) was the Russian dictator of the Soviet Union (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) from 1929 to 1953. He is famously known for ruling the Soviet people through fear, killing or imprisoning those that opposed him and killing his own people in the war effort.
Stalin 's rise to power was a combination of his ability to manipulate situations and the failure of others to prevent him from taking power. Leon Trotsky, who was considered a contender for the position, lost because of his lack of “physical vitality at the crucial time… and failed to recognize the rules of the succession struggle or of mass politics generally” (Von Laue 103). Stalin’s ethics and firsthand experience in the popular political culture—a leader rising from the masses— enabled him to take over Lenin’s position. Stalin’s approach to governing was shaped by his troubled childhood, “nationalistic struggle within the multinational Russian empire, by the revolutionary underground and the tsarist police, by World War I, by the Bolshevik seizure of power, the civil war, and the succession struggle” (Von Laue 104.) Additionally, the Western world also had an impact on how Stalin directed and imposed his power.
What was the Russian government under Lenin like? What kinds of tasks did it attempt to achieve: Vladimir Lenin chose the timing of the communist takeover perfectly. The Russians were so tired of fighting that when the takeover took place it faced hardly any resistance. The problem was that this passive demeanor wouldn't last long. Communism is such a radical jump of ideologies you cannot expect everyone to suddenly embrace it with open arms. Consequently, this led to the Bolsheviks becoming dictators in order to maintain rule.
Over the past two centuries, a common pattern has arisen among European leaders. Most of them have proven to have followed the reasoning of Niccoló Machiavelli, a renowned literarian. Machiavelli had a deep understanding of what it took to be a leader and maintain control. He put this understanding into The Prince, a book giving advice to leaders on how to gain and maintain power over a state. Joseph Stalin lead the Soviet Union as a Machiavellian leader. He followed many of the steps described by Machiavelli and prospered. Stalin is known as one the most cruel dictators in history and was widely feared by his people. He built his way

To understand the significance of Stalingrad to the Second World War and to Germany and Russia, one has to understand the series of events that led up to the fateful battle.
A single-party state is a form of government where there is one political party that is the absolute government, as well as the absence of other opposing parties. In the 1920s a single party state occurred when Stalin established a communist dictatorship in the USSR. During his leadership Stalin hoped to modernize the Soviet economy, and maintain his position as the sole leader of the single-party state. In order to accomplish his goals, Stalin established policies within the USSR. However some of these policies did not end triumphantly. A successes of Stalin were the Great Purges, however his rule also faced failures such as the Five Year Plan. Additionally, the Collectivisation program, introduced by Stalin, was considered both a success
Joseph Stalin was born Ioseb Djugashvili in Gorgi, Georgia. He was the third son of Yekaterina and Vissarion Djugashvili, and the only one to survive past infancy. His parents had a violent marriage, with Vissarion beating hos wife and son. His parents had very different ambitions for Stalin, with his mother encouraging him to become a Russian Orthodox priest and his father believing that a working class life was good enough for Stalin. When his father returned from Tiflis to bring Stalin back to the factory, in which he worked, to become an apprentice cobbler brought the argument to a head. His mother brought Stalin back to Gorgi, and got him back on the path of attending seminary. After this incident, Vissarion ended the marriage.
