Joseph was born 2260 AM and died 2370 AM at the age of 110 and the history of Joseph’s life is remarkable. Joseph was born to Jacob and his wife and he was the favorite son of Jacob. Joseph’s other brothers were jealous of this and they sold Joseph into slavery. The brothers sold Joseph to one of the Pharaoh’s officers and Joseph served the Pharaoh. Joseph had the gift that God had given him of being able to interpret dreams. The Pharaoh learned of this and calls upon Joseph to interpret a dream that had been troubling him. Joseph correctly described the symbols in the Pharaoh’s dream that showed there would be plenty and then everything would go into a great shortage. The Pharaoh gave Joseph the control and management of the land.
At 2:45 on the first Monday of freshman year a crowd gathered around the little theater. There were hugs, high-fives, congratulations, and tears ripping through the crowd. Someone new would join and the interactions would start all over again. It was the cast list.
Joseph was the first born child of Rachel and because he was born to Jacob in his old age, Jacob loved Joseph more than his other sons and made Joseph a richly ornamented robe, therefore Joseph’s brothers hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. Joseph also had dreams that indicated that he would reign over his brothers and this caused more hatred toward him. His brothers were jealous of the love that he received from their father and because of his dreams. Consequently, Joseph’s brothers plotted to kill him but instead they sold him to some Ishmaelites that were passing through to Egypt.
In those three paragraphs, the ones that stand out are the second and last. The second paragraph shows the importance of Johannes’ dreams and how they are actually him conversing with his ancestral spirits and dying for a short period of time. These spirits would manifest either good dreams or nightmares. Once Johannes woke up, he had to accomplish the tedious task of getting interpreted by the oracle known as his mother or father. Depending on who Johannes asked, his mother or father construne two very different interpretations. This leads into the importance of the third paragraph or one sentence stated. It states, “If I ate more liver my patience would grow, if I ate more spleen my hatred of white people would grow” (Mathabane 101). Although
RING RING! “Come to Gavin’s AMAZING end of the year party! We have games, food, and especially FUN!!! I you can make it, it’ll be a blast!” Gavin’s text made me feel like a million bucks. I love parties like I love my mother. I accepted the invite, and when the day came, on a Thursday during Summer, I was there, having a hotdog and a Coke in my hand. The hotdog had a strange smell, although it tasted great. The Coke was delicious and very bubbly, and as brisk as a morning dew. Most of my friends were there, Joey (both of them), Logan, Zach, and of course, Gavin. The tall Joey, he has a knack for adventure, and let’s just say cats aren’t his favorite animal. The smaller one is a good friend of Gavin, and always makes sure he has the best relationships with his teachers. Zach is a comedian,
Dreams have puzzled philosophers for thousands of years and only recently dreams have been subjected to empirical research and scientific study. So what are dreams? Dreams are any thoughts, images, or emotions that are expressed during certain stages of sleep, mostly during stage five, known as REM, where the brain increases in activity. Dreams can range from being extremely vivid to very vague, filled with varying types of emotions such as joy, sadness, or fright, and can also be completely clear and understandable or totally unclear and confusing.
Joseph began his life as the favorite son of Jacob who tended to the flocks as a shepherd.3 These humble beginnings foreshadow how one day Joseph will tend to the Seed of the Woman during times of famine in the land by giving food to this eleven brothers. Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, had eleven other sons who were jealous of the special attention that Joseph received. In fact, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.4 Joseph had a dream that predicted that Joseph would one day reign over his older brothers. This upset his brothers and they tricked Joseph by selling him into slavery. Joseph was then taken to Egypt where he was sold to Potiphar and became a servant in
As I got into position, waiting for our command to attack from Tȟašúŋke Witkó (Crazy Horse), all I could think about was the dream I had last night. All I remember from the dream is a loud bang then total darkness. I had no idea what my dream meant, was I to die or was someone else. The thought never left my head. So I waited there on top of the ridge overlooking The Little Bighorn River down below the Greasy Grass field. It was rather chilly that mid-June morning, which was unusual for this time of year.
Johnny stood in the doorway, gazing out upon the melting colors of the rising sun. He took a breath of the dewy morning air and thought about the night before. Most people call it crazy, and maybe it was at first. But now, after so many millennia, the supposed ‘crazy’ night have become and every night and dreadfully boring affair. Life for Johnny wasn’t always as smooth and distasteful. He remembers back when he went by another name, a name so well-known and hated. When he was new and the human kind was but a newly growing tree, he was first introduced into the world.
Joseph, a sheepherder, lives in the land of Canaan with his father and twelve brothers. He was the second youngest of the brothers and started having dreams when he was seventeen. His first dream was that they were all binding their sheaves and his grew tall and proud while theirs bowed down to him. The second dream he had was that the sun and stars praised him. Both of these dreams made Joseph seem like he was the greatest and that everyone and everything else should praise him. Joseph had always been his father’s favorite son; but after these dreams, they hated him even more. The brothers become jealous and plan to get Joseph out of the way. At first, they just want to kill him; however, they realize that they will gain more if they sold

Joseph hasn't really had a career. But in his teens he would earn money by doing jobs for others on their farms. In 827 Joseph got the gold plates and started translating them. It was very surprising since he didn't have a good education. He was married on June 18, 1827 to Emma Hale. They had 11 children, but only 5 lived past infancy. Tons of people didn't like what he was doing. Joseph got tarred and feathered about 3

When Joseph was born, his father Jacob or Israel was elderly. Joseph had ten half older brothers because they were the sons of his father but not of his mother. When Joseph grew up, his father taught him how to read and write. His father loved him more because he had Joseph in his later ages. When Joseph was around seventeen, he took care of the sheep with his brothers, but he did not work in the field like his brother because his father wanted him to be always around him and his older brothers envied him for that matter.
Joseph explains the meaning of their dreams and asks the two men to put in good word for Joseph. The two men are released and return to work for the Pharaoh, yet the two men never mentioned Joseph upon release. Some time later, the Pharaoh has a dream and no one can tell him the meaning. The cupbearer remembers Joseph and he is called in to listen to the dream. He gives advice to Pharaoh and is appointed ruler of all Egypt. Pharaoh’s dream was about the future famine and Egypt’s prosperity. Pharaoh and Joseph prepare to have bulk of all goods and people from all areas come to Egypt to buy products. With regards to Joseph as a leader, Dods explains, “ Joseph, who watched for the fulfillment of God’s purposes, and found his happiness in forwarding what God designed for the people(417).” Joseph used God's strength to help people and interpet dreams with God's wisdom. Similarly, during the famine, God illiminated Joseph's great skills in authority, as he and pharaoh work together to assure the nation will not go hungry or suffer during this
dreams. Often, that dream is something like a city or any populated area which has other people walking around in it. In Inception, those people that the unknowing mark (the person whose mind they’re entering) populates the dream world with ‘projections’ that always mirror their ideal perspective held of them in reality.
