Africans migrated from Africa to other places around the world over the past 50,000 years. The reason for this was that they needed a better life. This is similar to the reason why a lot of others around the world migrated. More specifically they migrated because of global changes, in other words the ice age. The ice age didn’t necessarily mean that there was a lot of water, but instead this global change caused Africa to get very dry, which damaged their agriculture. In the film Journey of Men: Genetic Odyssey anthropologist Spencer Wells proved that early humans migrated out of Africa. In order to prove that all humans share the same family history, this essay will first talk about where humans evolved from, the first humans in Africa, their DNA and chromosomes, and the migration itself. …show more content…

Silk, primates were mostly located in Southern Europe and Northern Africa (Boyd and Silk 2014: 114). Also, humans are behaviorally close to primates such as monkeys, apes, chimpanzees, and other types of animals that are within the same family tree as monkeys. The scientific explanation is that Apes were a separate species, then became chimps (their own species) and that same species became humans. The few individuals that could interbreed with each other eventually shared their gene flow, which then lead to a new formation of species (Worley 2015). This process explains why we humans are close to primates; we have similar features, characteristics and we express our feelings in a similar way. For example when a monkey is sad they will usually put a frown on their face that is just like humans. Primates also use their hands like humans in order to survive (not that they can’t survive without it) and they make good use of their thumb finger. These examples imply how we are just like each
