“It’s not true that there are no heroes anymore…” (Oliver Stone SB 63) Heroes. Today when we hear heroes we think of superheroes with powers. but have we really thought what heroes really are? Heroes are your regular everyday people that work to the best of their abilities to make
When heroes come to mind we think of ordinary people who just save others. No that is not true but real heroes do more that that. A hero is a person who is self- sacrificing and unselfish. They fight for what is right, and would do anything for their people, or inspired people to do the right thing or moral. To support my information I have three examples of a true hero
To be a hero can can be defined in many ways. Heros are usually associated with courage, fearlessness, noble qualities, outstanding achievements, and a kind heart. These traits are what make up an ideal contributor to society helping those in need. The word hero can have a different meaning for cultures and religions. Osama Bin Laden may be considered a hero to the radical islams but he is a horrible human being to the rest of the world. It all depends on the views of the people.
Draft Ricky Martin once said, “Heroes represent the best of ourselves, respecting that we are human beings. A hero can be anyone from Ghandi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.” Almost anyone can be a hero, as long as they have the courage and the maturity to understand and respect those who they attempt to help. Despite the fact that a hero cannot save everyone, being heroic is about placing others before oneself and strive to help those who need it the most.
Heroes come in different shapes, sizes, and looks. Maybe someone you saw on the street one day was heroic for saving someone’s life in a car accident. A hero to me is someone who can be brave in situations that aren’t so safe, and take a risk to make sure everyone is okay, no matter who
Everyone has their own idea of what a hero is and what a hero does. Most people think that guys like superman and batman are heroes because they have incredible superpowers and they are famous people who receive glory. Many people describe heroes as strong and indestructible people, however, heroes are actually not always famous and they are not always the way that society portrays them. In fact, most heroes are ordinary people who do extraordinary things and have notable traits for society to follow. Although heroes are mostly overlooked or misinterpreted by many people, a hero is always a courageous, selfless, and persistent person who has the determination to create change for the better.
When you think of heroes, you might think of Superman or someone like Batman. In reality heroes don't wear costumes. A hero is a person who does their best to accomplish something that can help people weather that is mentally or physically. Anyone can be a hero no matter
When you look up hero in the dictionary it reads: a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. If you were to ask a five year old what he or she thought a hero was, they would give you an
To be a hero doesn't mean to wear a cape and a mask and have supernatural powers. Real heroes don't have to be superheroes. Most heroes are just average people looking to do right in the world. A hero also has many qualities among other things that help and let them be heroes.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A HERO What is a hero? A hero is not somebody with the ability to fly, run really fast, or control other people's minds,... A hero is a random person that rises to the occasion and performs the action(s) of superhero proportions. “The only use of an obstacle is to be overcome. All that an obstacle does with brave men is, not to frighten them, but to challenge them.” (Woodrow Wilson). I agree with Woodrow that to be truly heroic, one must have leaderships, bravery, intelligence,... to solve common problems in our society. There are many examples of heroes in our modern day world as well as fictional characters. For instances, Odysseus in the Odyssey, Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit and my mom have those characteristics of heroism.
A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.
Ordinary People can be a Hero originally, I assumed that a hero was someone who fought villains in movies or had superpowers. Although I assumed that those who fought villains in movies or had superpower are a hero, now I believe that hero is someone who does extraordinary things such as put their lives in danger situations for others, someone who helps other and save someone. On the other hand, I believe that not everyone single person can be a hero because they don´t care about others and only know how to protect themselves.
Most people refer to heroes as the guy that fights crime in the movie, or the prince that saves the life of the princess, but lets get real here, in our life, a hero can be anyone from a paramedic, fire fighter or cancer survivor. It is someone who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. But forget all that, I’m here to tell you that the word hero is ridiculously overused these days.
When the word "hero" is spoken, everyone has different thoughts. Some will think of super powers like flying and saving people from villains; while others have a certain person they know or have heard of that come to mind who have done something to make a difference in the lives of others but who is a hero to you? To answer this question you must first ask yourself what a hero is; what comes to your mind when someone says the word. When I am confronted with these questions I always have the same thoughts; smart, strong will power, and someone who stands up for what they believe is right.
