In this essay, I will justify why Jesus, a historical figure, is molded in ancient texts to fulfill biased endeavors in spirituality without proven or creditable sources. This initial warping of Jesus carries over pre-organized beliefs and conclusions about who he was and what he did. First, I will discuss the obvious biases of each Gospel writer and explain why they are partial in displaying Jesus, each story simply benefiting their own belief and purpose. After, comparing and contrasting the Gospel’s varying images of Jesus, I will show the continuous inconsistency on who Jesus was and what he represents tracing back to the original penmanship in 65-90 CE. Since the writers remain unknown, they are unreliable sources for none agree to be active participants in their stories. The author of the Gospel of Mark is associated with John Mark (or just simply Mark) a companion to Peter. It is assumed he received most of his transcript from Peter’s teachings. Mark depicts Jesus as the suffering Messiah who died for humanities sins. He strives to bring hope to readers who are facing persecution. In conclusion, Mark was not a participant, but a second-hand documenter to the apostle Peter. The Gospel of Matthew was believed to be written by the apostle Matthew; however, the heavy influence and dependence on the Gospel of Mark and a “Q” source suggests the author was not a participant or eyewitness to Jesus’ ministry. Matthew views Jesus as the Jewish Messiah come to fulfill the old prophecies. The presumed author of the Gospel of Luke is a Gentile physician, knowledgeable in universal trivia, named Luke who accompanied Paul during his ministry. Luke was not an active participant and was unknowledgeable about Jewish history and local geography. He received all his information from secondary sources.
