From all my research, the collaborative nature of the work at KPMG could be an incredible way to learn and prepare for my future professional career. I will bring my strengths as a natural leader and ease at working with and teams. Throughout my life, I have held leadership positions in most every activity in which I participated. Prior to starting college, I displayed my leadership donning the captain’s “C” on nearly every ice hockey team that I played for; from my first travel pee wee team through my years I captained Gonzaga College High School’s Hockey team in my junior and senior years winning back-to-back league championships, including Gonzaga’s only undefeated season in school history during my senior
During my research a lot of leadership and management theories I have read, watched and listened to in various fields have lead me to believe most come to the same conclusion. I have taken a wide range of examples which I feel to be the most relevant to me and my role.

One can use the guide without an instructor to develop leadership traits.
Leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal. The article “Leadership That Gets Results” by Daniel Goleman is an article that helps readers understand that there is not only one way of becoming a successful leader. Research indicates that leaders with best results do not rely on only one leadership style. Goleman, describes leaderships styles as array of clubs in a golf pro’s bag. Over the course of the game, the pro picks clubs based on the demands of the shot. Thinking is involved during the selection, but usually it is automatic. The pro is aware of the challenge ahead, quickly utilizes the right tool, and puts it to work. It has also been found that emotional intelligence

Babe Ruth said, "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up." A dedicated, determined worker and leader is what brings projects to completion. The quality, first-class work elevates projects. This comes from knowledgeable people who understand clients and their vision while using their own experience and creativity to make dreams come true.
Quoted by Ronald Reagan “The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.” A manager gets things done via planning and delegation. Tasks are usually assigned and results are obtained by other efforts. A leader gets things done by holding a vision, modeling behaviors and usually have very inspiring actions. A manager is defined as, “An individual who is in charge of a certain group or tasks” (Business Dictionary). A leader is defined as “The person who leads or commands a group, organizations” (Business Dictionary).
| The process for the development plan was firstly to research and gain as much information on the courses to make sure they are current and meet my needs and personal Goals. Once this was satisfied i need to look at when and how i was going to complete the courses, a time line and getting the internet installed at my home address was done. Also an interview with the funds/account manager to release the funds to pay for the personal development courses. I had to justify why i wanted to do this course and what benefit to the organisation this would create. I also had to show the course was current and provided the right qualifications. The impact on organisational objectives was positive. Personal improvement on understanding management and leadership will enhance my coaching of junior and senior instructors in leadership and my ITQ skills have already improved to make work more efficient when using IT equipment like power point etc.Reviewing what i have completed is positive and my personal plan is constantly being updated as more of the courses are completed. Both goals are on

As a Jewish student in college and Greek Life, it is nice to know that there is a place to go like Hillel where people will understand you on a cultural level. It is important to me to give that comfort to any student who may feel like they are missing that religious and cultural companionship that they may have had at home. The privilege of being a part of the JIGL Leadership Council would give me the opportunity to reach out to students that have a lot in common with me (UCSB students, Jewish, and Greek affiliated) and help them get involved in Hillel through fun and philanthropic events. It also gives me the chance to get to know more students and enrich my time here at UCSB.

This assignment will show what services are available in early year’s settings and for young people to support positive development. It will show what assessments we carry out within my setting and I will also critically analyse agencies that are available for referrals, transitions and safeguarding for children and young people.
Attending this leadership program will allow me to sharpen and gain new skills which will benefit KPMG internally; I will gain skills that will allow me to perform as a better team leader, and provide more focused and relevant upward feedback to my leadership. This will also benefit our clients; having expanded my knowledge through others experience and perspectives, I will have the necessary tools in my hand and contacts in my network to provide viable leadership and solutions for any challenges facing our clients, as they arise. The ability to ‘step away’ from work, to network, and learn how to be a better leader is something I personally feel is essential in shaping more effective, diverse, and influential leaders which is my personal goal.
