Chloe kim was born on April 23, 2000 in long beach california.Even though she was born in L.A she has korean aspects. Her parents are from korea, so sometimes kim had difficulties understanding her identity and where she was really from. Kim often visited korea, so she is able to speak korean. In addition, her parents also took her to live with her aunt at age 8 in Switzerland for snowboarding training. Her parents also send her to europe for 2 years in order for her to learn french.In 8th grade kim started homeschooling, and she ended of following an internet based curriculum.In 3rd grade she was already in a swiss snowboard team. However, kim first competed at age 6 and medaled the next year in junior nationals. At 15 years old chloe was the first female snowboarder to compete in U.S Grand Prix in Park City, Utah and receive a perfect score of 100!! In the imperialism period there has been a significant issue between the economy, politics, racial slurs and ideology. The Europeans and Africans were involved in the imperialism period their important role was to search for raw materials. The age of empire took place in World War I which is around 1914.
