The obscure religious agenda in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, supported by that of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, is akin to that found in Flannery O'Connor's works. This similarity allows for the identification of Rowling as the O'Connor of this generation. Three main elements influence both Rowling and O’Connor’s works respectively. Religious background, writing as a means to spread the gospel, and a specified and intended audience are shared components and are essential to the crediting of Rowling as this generation’s O’Connor.
One might ask himself why any society comes to fall. With set laws and regulations regarding what and who is right and wrong, a society should remain stable. The problem is that this system only functions properly when all citizens of the society follow the same set of regulations. When citizens are held under or hold themselves under different standards, the system is upset, such was the case in Animal Farm. After the rebellion, the animals agreed on a set of seven rules to collectively follow going forward.

If I had to go alongside the main character from any movie or book I would choose the Harry Potter book series/ movie series. The first reason why I would pick that is because they have these really awesome objects like wands, invisibility cloaks and the list goes on. Another reason why I would like to go alongside the characters is because of Hogwarts. At Hogwarts they have all these amazing things like quidditch where you fly on brooms. My last reason is the battle scenes and the big wizarding war. Every one is casting spells at everything. Even though you could die, it sounds awesome!
For the past century, Walt Whitman has inspired people with his literary work by addressing his views and expectations to the future generation. Not only was his circular connection relating the reader to his poems, but the realistic truths and observations in these poems revealed deep confessions, which affected the reader’s personal feelings and opinions. Expanding further than American readers and writers, Whitman had established an impact worldwide. Writers such as Oscar Wilde and Bram Stoker, two Irishmen that know of Whitman’s writings through the poet’s popularity growing up as children and young adults, had become advocates of the controversial topics Whitman wrote about. Wilde and Stoker’s writing styles differ from Whitman’s:
Like many, I was shocked and horrified when I learned what happened on New Year's Eve in Cologne, Germany. Of course, it took four days for the world to hear this story, which speaks volumes. After the dust settled, and the heinous details emerged, I became angry. Blood boiling-ly angry. Not just at the perpetrators, but at the politicians, journalists, and online apologists who bent over backwards to downplay or scold me about stirring up "anti-immigrant sentiments" when I expressed my justifiable anger. As if anger over an unsolicited sexual violation is shameful or counterproductive. It's not; far from it. Showing anger demonstrates that you have boundaries and will not tolerate bad behavior. Anger, when utilized correctly, can help carve a path to self-respect. Your anger means you believe that you have value and are worth
